at peranakan buffet restaurant in concorde hotel. $28 all you can eat. spread includes all peranakan and nonya food from starters to entrés to desserts. there's a macik selling sarong kebayas at a counter in the lobby just outside the restaurant. all are encouraged to wear kebayas before entering. :p

I would love to savour it, including the other food.
During my visits to Singapore, I have been to a Penang Place, once on each visit.
I enjoyed their Peranakan food.

if i remember the place is called "spices cafe", and the buffet is offered as "sinkie flavors buffet."

these are some of their sample dishes at the display counter. the full counter is all over the back.

the one rare dish that's extremely hard to find in any nonya restaurant is the ayam buah keluak. you can also add the black keluak to beef or lamb. this place has the chicken version. this dish in my opinion separates the wannabe peranakan and nonya restaurant from the truly baba-run authentic ones.

you make your own rojak in kebaya. must buy kebaya from macik. :p

you pick the satay semi-cooked and someone will penkang for you. this is much better than having satay sit on counter fully cooked for hours waiting to be taken. attention to detail.

You'r eyes quite sharp, its a 2.48 alright but not Solasfera this one is called Swarovski that's all can afford.
