What is wrong with these people ? The man should just stay alone in Singapore and bring the kids and spouse to live in Johor. When there's holiday ,they bring the families out for holiday.

They probably think SGD$9,000 will let them live like a millionaire in SG, using the context of India.

Annual average salary : ₹ 325,000 = SGD$5,262
This works out to approx SGD$438.50 per month!

Now imagine you are from India and you tell your wife that you got an offer of SGD$9,000 per month, which is 20 times of what an average grad will earn in India!

10k a month is something to shout about during 1990s to 2000. Kopitiam coffee was $0.4 to $0.6 per cup and you can eat your fav toast at $1.5 to $2.00 per set.
