STOMPer Lionel was amused to see this guy kayaking when it flooded in Little India yesterday (Aug 11) afternoon.

Said the STOMPer:

"This picture taken off Rowell Road, after a heavy downpour lasting about an hour in Little India. I was driving when I was this.

"This man decided to take out his kayak which he's probably saving for occasions like this."

Row, row, Rowell Road
Flash floods hit Singapore again
By Maureen Koh

August 12, 2010

When the flash floods hit their office yesterday afternoon, business partners Colin Koh and Ang Rong Hsin decided it was time to highlight their water woes – in a fun manner.

And what better way than to kayak around in the water?

After all, their company, Asian Detours, on Rowell Road in the Little India area, runs adventure and expedition programmes that include school camps and, of course, kayaking certification.

Its director, Mr Koh, 46, told The New Paper: "We were talking about it (the night before), saying that should there be a flood the next time, we’d do some kayaking in the back alley."

So when the rain fell and the water rose, operations director Mr Ang, 29, did just that – turning the alley behind Rowell Road into a mini Venice for about 15 minutes.

The water, which rose to mid-calf level, subsided about 20 minutes later.

The chink tries to be funny, but FAILS.

Finally we get to see someone boating on the mad floods.;)

Rowing in Rowell Road, it's a nice statement.

On the contrary, u pariah pundek, this funny chink is hilarious!!!! But he's probably second to the greatest joker of the year. The one who said Flooding only occured once every 50 years in Spore
