Many things had changed over the last 2 decades for sure.. Other than RP and their better candidates, LTK and gang, CSJ and the old faithfuls, cannot say much of the integrity, qualities of some of the other OPP candidates. More "OPP"ortunists than "OPP"ositions.
One thing for sure, GMS is not even 0.01% the man of Dr CSJ.

GMS did not even accomplish an inch of what Dr CSJ did. Even the daughters of Dr CSJ I believe knows what their daddy is fighting for than GMS and his "sell flat campaign".
for anyone who believes that Dr CSJ is the bane of oppositions is as much as running dog as PAP would want the populace to believe.
Dr CSJ stood up to the occasion to SM Goh, "Where's Singaporean's money!" Dr CSJ questioned MM Lee on the former iron fist rule in Singapore. May I ask, what did GMS do?
Dr CSJ struggle against the regime had already gone beyond political boundaries, while GMS is still go round and round finding his own "branding".
Dr CSJ does not deserve to be Singapore's Prime Minister. The Prime Ministership does not DESERVE a man such as Dr CSJ!
Instead, Dr CSJ should be elected as the Republic's President. Dr CSJ is the "José Manuel Ramos-Horta" of Singapore.
Believe you me! If Dr CSJ is elected, I am sure he would be a recipient of Nobel Peace Prize!

GMS what had you done for Singaporeans? Even you are all for HIGH SALARIES paid to PAP through their brand of MERITOCRACY and ACCOUNTABILITY.

to say the least... after all these years.. .Dr CSJ did not quit on Singaporeans, he did not pack his bags and go to Hong Kong. He came, he stayed and HE STAYS! I not not sure even if he will see the fruit of what he is fighting for in this lifetime, I wish he will.
Lose a GMS, and you find another kind of him in the next batch of "NUS - bred" elitist who thinks they alone can conquer the world, at the next Starbucks/Coffee Bean joints. Lose a Dr CSJ, I am afraid we would have to wait another "epic" 50 years for another to come along. ...
