Fire breaks out at Newton MRT station

A fire has broken out at Newton MRT station on Wednesday morning.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) says officers are now at the scene.

SMRT says free public and shuttle buses are now available at affected stations between Toa Payoh and Newton.

Trains on the North South Line are reportedly delayed.
