I refrained from making this very frank post until the dust and anger have settled down a bit. When the host Sam Leong came up with a new set of rule (No 2) - displaying excessive arrogrance - I thought this is the most appropriate time!

I read in other forums, there are lots of sympathies for the unfortunate victims of the accident and they are even initiating a donation drive, with some even wanting to visit the family to give them emotional and financial support.

The picture is starkly different over here in this forum; there are a few sympathies here and there, but more hot air against the Ferrari driver (not that he deserved any sympathy), and about PRCs in Singapore - but no real action to help the unfortunae victims.

Some posts even shifted and directed their target on the government - the traffic police, national policies - the authorities in general. Some unfairly accused the authorities of not showing care for the presumely Singaporean taxi-passenger by not revealing her identity (we know now she is a Japanese tourist) - when normal SOP is to first inform parents or close relatives (where in Japan? Must go through Jap embassy.) Some even alluded naughtily why young [Singapore] girls are wandering so "late at night" - rather so early in the morning (fact reveals that no young Singapore girl was involved). Yet there are others more interested in the power and mechanism of the "Ferraris".

Unfortunately the greatest disappointment is the Host himself - in one bold sweep of the keyboard he unashamedly (arrogantly?) described taxi-drivers as worthless "lowly taxi-driver" (#116) and "scum of the earth" and "ought to be shot" (#117). It hurts deeply for the children and wife to read this. This taxi-driver - the sole breadwinner - whom one forummer said working late into the night "to earn an honest living" (#349) is reduced to a worthless scum.

I can't say too much about the Host of this forum - he may decide to delete me - or ask me to "get lost" - not that deleting me from this open invitation forum will rankle me, or cause me sleepless nights. What utter display of arrogance!

I always heed and appreciate iMAS message on the expressway:

They care.

This should be in new thread for all to see and discuss.

I am at war with Taxi Drivers. A taxi driver killed one of my best friends in Singapore who was cycling along minding his own business.

I too have been victim of Taxi Drivers numerous times. They have cut me off countless times and knocked me off my bike 3 times in the last 5 years. In Singapore, I ended up in a drain because of taxi driver. I was lucky not to break my neck.

For every taxi driver killed by a Ferrari, there are 1000 cyclists killed by taxi drivers. Where's the donation drive for the cyclists who were earning an honest living too.

Blame THAT taxi driver who knocked u off not this killed taxi driver. What's yr problem ??

Got moustache is yr father is it.....

Dear all, this morning 14 Jan, i was riding towards ECP from still road south while i was at the junction of Still road south and marine parade, a cab made his right turn towards marine parade. I was having the right of way as i was going straight. When i c him rushing his right turn, i jamed brakes but i was not able to avoid him. My front wheel hit his left cab skin (at the door). As he didnt stop, the friction of the tyres and the door pulled my front to one side and i fell.

After i fell, he didnt stop. He just slowed down (as i see his brake lights come on and off) then he just drove away leaving me in pain while in the middle of the junction.

I went to the doctor just now. I'm lucky that i only suffered abrasion and alot of swelling on my back and backside. i have yet to make a check on my bike but i suspect front wheel's alighment is off.

I've also made a police report, but police say that they wont be able to take any action as i didnt note down the cab licsence no. Can anyone advice me what should i do. Does sending email to Comfort cab help?

Thanks
Ride safe.

Cheers
Han

We are talking about innocent victims here, just like you and your one of your best friends who was killed on the road. In this case, the taxi driver is a victim. If a plane crash and there's no survivors, all are victims whether they are taxi driver, company's director, professional cyclist, fishmongers and so on.
And most importantly, he is a Singaporean.;)

Dumbo spandex wearing and possibly gay cyclist didn't get vehicle license number in an accident.

Going by your reasoning, the cab driver would have done mankind a service, but he missed that opportunity.:o

............

The taxi driver is kind enough to slow down and allow the cyclist to note down his car plate number for his further actions. Dumbass cyclist only notice his brake light on and off. Dumber to try reporting to the police in hope of finding this taxi driver. :D

Don't blame they cyclist lah. This is reflex action of gays, they normally watch out for, and very sensitive to blinking hazard lights or flashing brake lights of vehicles infront of them. This is the gay code for my back is available, come on. Last time Hong Lim park alot of these signals huan (I heard only:o)

We have just sexposed another one from the closet......paisay:(
