Both 74yo & 76yo ending in this way, sad case siah

With the increased number of foreign residents, the perceived necessity for integration seems to have diminished. This has led to the formation of social enclaves where individuals can function without engaging with local customs or languages. This lack of integration is a source of concern for S'poreans.

The increasing density in public spaces, particularly on public transport and at eateries, creates a sense of discomfort and marginalisation for most locals. The overall crowding in S'pore has led me to consider relocating, despite the potential for facing similar prejudices elsewhere. I believe the govt's focus on economic growth at ALL costs has overshadowed the social and ethical dimensions of immigration, leaving S'poreans feeling overlooked and dehumanised

I kenna hit behind by a 70yrs old taxi old uncle many year ago. Air bag activated. He was falling asleep behind going my lane.
He stayed in landed yet need to work so hard Cost of living & maintaining his lifestyle or house must be so hard till he has to come out be taxi uncle in his 70s.

My car was also struck by an elderly taxi driver over 10 years ago. I was hit so hard that my spare tyre made contact with the steering wheel. Fortunately, it was only the "spare tyre" on my tummy. Hahaha!

What is the ratio of people to land?

Population density - Wikipedia

The world's population is around 8,000,000,000 and the Earth's total area (including land and water) is 510,000,000 km2 (200,000,000 sq mi). Therefore, the worldwide human population density is approximately 8,000,000,000 ÷ 510,000,000 = 16/km2 (41/sq mi).

The countries with the highest population density (people per square kilometer) in 2024 are Monaco, Macao, and Singapore, with Monaco leading the ranking at nearly 26,000 residents per square kilometer.

  • Singapore's Density:
Singapore has 8177 people per km², around 200 times as dense as the United States and 2000 times as dense as Australia.

Shocking news indeed….74yo still working as mini bus driver.

But then again I know of 1 MP who worked till 91yo collect MP allowance while sitting in a wheelchair

Glad you can still laugh. I could not drive for a year due to PTSD as keep seeing the concrete road divider crashing me when my car got push to it. Thank God for conti car metal body with 5* rating or I would be seeing my maker. He should not be driving full day at his age but maybe just as grandpa picking up grandkids 2 times per day. Too strenuous for his age.

I am laughing as a way of coping with that most unfortunate incident. I knew that impact was imminent as I saw that the NTUC Comfort cab wasn't slowing down as its image grew larger on my rear view mirror.
