Father surprised SGH making money from dead daughter's organs

By law no money can change hands for organs. You also cannot trade for other consideration - ie special treatment or arrangements. These are offences under the Act. Any person who opts out from donating under the Act will immediately lose priority in the event that person requires an organ. Hospitals cannot charge a penny for the organs if the above does not make sense.
.
this you have to ask C.K. Tang's son or One Eye Dragon's wife.

Did they harvest Gecko's CB before setting her on hellfire?

I guess they attached it to Lanjiao Loong's mouth.

How many of you have opted out of HOTA? I have opted out of all 4 organs but I am now thinking maybe I should opt in for cornea only. Anyone here intends to donate your whole body for education and research and living on as a cadaver?

Ms Wong, a marketing consultant who did freelance modelling on the side such as for telecommunications company Singtel, did not die because of singing in a too-high-pitched voice as reported by Chinese-language newspapers, he added.

Since when do people die from singing in a too-high-pitched voice? Is that even a possible cause of death? I've only seen it happen in television shows.

Under the Human Organ Transplant Act, first enacted in 1987, all Singapore citizens and permanent residents above the age of 21, of sound mind and who have not opted out, will have their kidneys, hearts, livers and corneas removed upon their death if they died in a hospital, their organs are suitable for transplant and there are suitable recipients for the organs. He struggled with the idea at first. However, he and his wife eventually donated her two kidneys and liver. "I heard they managed to do transplants on three patients, and I feel it's a blessing that at least she can save three people," said Mr Wong. Ms Wong was cremated on Dec 20. An only child, she was very close to her mother

without full disclosure, how do we know they are local singapore born recipients?
Can we count on our valiant WP MPs to grill the Health Minister in Parliament? Especially Sec-General elect, Mr PS, who is a locum with a top law firm in Singapore.

She probably died from a ruptured intracranjal berry aneurysm. Not uncommon cause of sudden death in people.

But good for our medical facilities here, it not common to receive instant, young organs so fast & money comes in faster too. The hospital is ran like a hospitality & medical science is a business together with medicine. Don't believe, ask that Cow$8...he was once the business development manager in MOH...ask him, he got his heart done for $8.

Does the family get anything, that their love ones have benefited others? Other than thanks..?

Boy, you must be incredibly stupid or unbelievably naive. Gangster One Eyed Dragon Tan Jor Chin would for no reason whatsoever donate his kidney to Tang wee Sun, a wealthy man that he has never met, just before he was hung to death? Or do you think Tang secretly donated some money to Tan's NOK before Tan donated his kidney to him? which do you think is the likely scenario, oh Brilliant one?

The family gets zero. They don't even get to choose which candidate will receive their loved one's organs. They don't even get to know the name of the recipient. MOH should exercise full transparency and disclosure and allow an independent audit of their transplant recipients. Would not surprise me to learn that 90% of organ recipients are in the top 10% of wealthy income earners, if this is the case.

That we do not know, superstitious or not, Christians or not...definitely there must be some 'lai see' in a red packet being passed, the Tan's family will not divulge. If you were them, will you divulge?

If no , " lai see"...people will curse the donor's family, "you lai see till you die"...they other "lai see", in a different pronunciation...

Yes of course, I know that. But the SrewedOne says no money can be exchanged for organs mah. So, I am, as usual, poking holes in his alleged logic.

Aiyah!...some just like to bark!. If no money for organs, then MOH should be giving them free...but as you know, nothing is FREE. The organs may be free, but the doctor's, equipments, medicine, the administration...the transportation the....cost money. Unless MOH is so 'kind' all these for $1...ha ha ha ha.

Unless you are volunteer....doing gardening!...heh heh heh heh

Removing a dead person's organs costs money. I hope the family of the dead girl is billed for this costs. Why should the State be burdened?
