All the best, paddlers

I REFER to Tuesday's report, 'Dream big, say women paddlers'. I was touched by the gesture of our national paddlers who visited the Muhammadiyah Welfare Home in Bedok North.
The visit, part of the Singapore Table Tennis Association's community outreach programme, promoted the game of table tennis and brought cheer to the residents.
The women paddlers, bound for the World Table Tennis Championship in Moscow, were beaming with confidence. China is strong but vulnerable, as shown by their recent loss to South Korea in the Uber Cup. The win ended China's 12-year stranglehold on the women's badminton team championship.
'We want to beat China,' said Wang Yuegu. 'Getting the gold is our target and dream,' quipped Li Jiawei. Feng Tianwei said is not impossible for Singapore to cause an upset. I concur.
I wish the team heading for Moscow the best of luck. Singaporeans will be rooting for them all the way.
