Exchange Rates for RM

Thanks for sharing and heads up on DBS Remit and other information. Apart from the excellent exchange rate, it beats the convenience of having to go to the MC and most of all, having to bring the ringgit over the causeway. :) Let;s hope we can continue to enjoy the No Service Charge promo and to receive the full remittance at the Malaysian banks.
You're welcome; this was shared to me by Crystal. The excellent rate is the main reason, convenience, safety and avoiding fake RM notes are bonuses to me.

Just transferred fund from posb to ocbc my @3.0432 with nil service charge.
Same here; I'm doing dollar cost averaging this round. I only change $1000 every time the rate is higher.

Bro for Cimb maximum trsf per day is m$20k.

How about DBS? Any maximum m$ amt limits can be transferred?

Tks.

RM is sure sliding fast, CNA news report just now is 3.07!
One reason could be BNM is not interfering or unable to prop up the RM with the fast shrinking Reserve.
So perhaps, maybe it'll be wiser to hold on to your S$ for a while.

I agree, change to RM up to the amount you need for expenses etc. There are too many factors pointing to a weaker ringgit ahead and not surprise to see it continue to slide lower against the SGD.

up 2 u 2 set ... max seems 2 b 200k ...

btw, ze rate changes thruout ze day ...

Tks bro. U are right about the max limit.

Strange. I did a transfer @1230 from DBS. Till now my Msian a/c still not credited..

With the PAP garnering 69.9% and continued falling oil prices, I expect the Ringgit to touch RM3.10 next week.

Unfortunately, as long as Najib Kor is still at the helm, the Ringgit can never see the day of light.

I called DBS two hours after transfer and was told once you received a SMS from DBS, the money has been transferred. Any delay the amount showing up in your MY account is due to the receiving bank. For my case to CIMB, it took a day.

Law minister already sounded discomfort about weak neighbouring currencies before election. I assumed he was referring to less inbound tourist and more Sinkies shopping outside thus depriving them the 7% GST. Now election over and lets see what's counter measure will be taken.

DBS Msia Remit rate wasn't very good today; didn't touch 3.05 even though RM dropped to a new low of 3.0781. Having said that, it's really not environmentally-friendly to send a hardcopy statement for each transfer; I received 3 hardcopy statements for 3 transfers done last week.

Cool! But where is it exactly bro? If the Caltex is near the JB Sentral so 'adjacent' means its d JBCC Komtar building?
After immigration you will be heading straight to City Square like many others. When you can see the Caltex Station exactly on your right side, take the ESCALATOR DOWN on your left hand side. This is also where people wait for their taxi. You will see the MC kiosk that I am talking about. That's the best rate around the area.

Please update us the rate after you have done so.

should anything untoward happened today, ringgit will crash to RM5 against SGD?
please behave sensibly.
