ex-SMRT staff on why SMRT breaks down...

Your two sentences, contradicting each other leh :o

Why should it be? Many mistaken good performance with short term results but for certain business you are only borrowing good fortune from the future. She is definitely in the wrong business if she is only short term.

there was a survey on woman CEOs. All they are good at is getting rid of people she don't like in top management except herself and hire her own 'tea break gossip mongers people'. When come to profit 'Big 0'.

Wonder if anyone here has experience working with female bosses?

They are only interested in cost cutting when there is a financial situation! Cost cutting also when sales drop! And if any shit happens, they are not even a bit interested in solving the issue, their main agenda is to get the person responsible and make sure that the top management knows that it is not their fault! When they can't come out with any new idea to increase the next years' sales figure, they again introduce cost cutting measure!

1. Good CEOs don't look at short term, but profiteers do.
2. Good CEOs will know that they are in the wrong biz, and move because they will be headhunted.

But I do agree with you that the future compromised for short term gains due to individual agenda, it happens everywhere in various degrees.

Instead of dwelling on a handful of breakdowns, look at the other side of the coin and count the number of incident free journeys Singaporeans have enjoyed over the years.

By any measure, she is outstanding.

Her track record is atrocious. She ran DFS into the ground and now fails her core responsibilities.

Its akin to a CEO who commits crime to make profits.

Re: Don't Forget Singapore Technologies Too

Saw really cause Singapore to lose the "Best transport in the world". Very soon, Ho Ching is going to spend billions of money to get even more foreign talents and expensive but shakely companies to manage the SMRT. The new woodlands line is managed by a Italian company. I wonder where LTA found that company...

For saving a few millions, Saw lost billons of taxpayer money in the longer term....she is really the best CEO for Singapore. Can't wait for more incompetence malaysians to take over. I wish PM lee steps down in favor of his wife Ho Ching.

You're just biased because she's a Malaysian.

Everywhere?

The whole fucking place is simply compromised for short term gains when it was a 'father hand to son' thing!

What more can be said about companies, private or public?:D

Finally they have found Ong Ye Kung a potential job. First he is roped in as independent director of SMRT. Is he likely to take over as CEO in the near future?
