Chitchat Elections Results Shows That.....

Voters are a fickle lot. Don't read too much into it. There's a lack of feel good factors going into this election. As far as Sengkang voters are concerned, they were probably pissed off by the long queue.
If the WP MPs work hard and serve the residents well, I reckon Sengkang could very well be the next Aljunied or Hougang.
As long we dont have the good opposition numbers in Parliament eg. 40%
The 10 opposition MP only make people laugh while they make waste the time make some noise voice theirs at Parliament.
Everything will remain the same and new policy will be implement without delay.

WP there is no questioning them. They have the seats in parliament!

East is also WP.

Now the west. SDP had been working the west for a while. But nothing.

PSP is a new party and one can argue they have done better than SDP has in a decade.

So maybe East WP.

West PSP.

Can CSJ PT and TCB merge? Leave the SDP brand. It is no longer good.

As far as the West Coast GRC is concerned, it was the persona factor at play. It wasn't about the party. Just look at all the results PSP contested in. With the exception of psychiatrist, the performance of the rest were quite dismal.

I think there has been a change. The younger voters below 40 are not happy.

So in new estates like sengkang you saw what happened.

Otherwise the older parents still have a strong influence on their children.
The PM Lee should receive the message loud and clear from the young and middle age voters:
1. CCS, Iswaran and HSK are not popular with the young and middle age voters due to unfair CECA agreement, CCS tried to divert the attention to FTA, but voters are generally strongly against this unfair agreement. Luckily with ignorant PG and MG PAP supporters, three of them managed to survive. But, in the next election, if there is no revise of CECA agreement and significantly reduced in foreign PMET, with new young voters and reduced number of PG & MG, the 3 GRC, EC, MP and WC, even TP, will be easily taken over by WP in no time.
2. The price of HDB flats, stagnant of salary and cost of living, will be another killing factor for PAP, young voters are very unhappy of the HDB flat selling price, small and very expensive. They are not keen in the grants, they just want a straight forward reasonable selling price.
3. Jobs displaced by foreign PMET or doing a lower rank jobs whereas foreign PMET is holding a high pay jobs, even they are better qualified.

If nothing change in the policy in a short period of time, PAP will incur more drastic losses in the near future elections, more and unhappy qualified young candidates will join opposition parties.

another four years to make amends
another four years to make changes
another four years to seek equality
another four years to improve sinkies lot
another four years to reconsolidate support base
another four years to win the hearts and minds of sinkies
another four years to prove yourselves
better buck up and do something constructive
instead of eating, makaning and taxing
if nothing done these four years
things will turn ugly and bad
so be prepared ....

Opposition parties need to consolidate to preferably just 2-3 parties, raise the bar for members with a good mix of young and old. Above all, you need empathy among others and hopefully connect with target residents.

GRC system still working its magic with dumbo voters unwilling to vote out fucked up ministers.
Suggest next time have 5 GRCs enough. North south east west and central
Lhl is relieved tat he only lost 1 more grc

Tiagong Pinky offerred Pritam the role of "leader of opposition" in parliament...with appropriate full support admin staff.

Liddat can say become macam "shadow Prime Minister" ?

What would happen to PSP post Tan Cheng Bock? Will the persona die with the party he founded? Just don't see anyone in his party ranks suited to take the party forward.
SDP has a good chance if Dr. Chee retires. Dr. Paul Tambyah is the best next. Don't be fooled by numbers. Come next GE, the same farking voters behind the flattering numbers for the oppo could very well swing back to the scums.

It's true that Paul Tambyah is the next best suitable candidate after TCB. CSJ only has himself to blame for always using those same stunts (eg: CPF, jobs for foreigners, etc) to credit himself. People gets tired of his same tactics after a while.

Things hasn’t exactly moved in last decade for opposition.....

1) Opposition politics still stuck in 2011
2) Oppie voters are very patient and optimistic.....always looking to next elections
It show that some new citizens are turncoats! We must be even more selective about converting those who have proven loyalty to the govt.

Big question is will Loong step down PM ship by 2025? And if so will Heng abandon Eat Coast to the dogs and take a safe seat? Will Chan have a chan? :sneaky:

Maybe next elections pinky will die or his man wife will die then no matter how they screw up will have the LHL effect and pap sweep 75% and reset politics back another 20 years.
Dumb fuck sinkies song bo?

and constantly walk the ground. Otherwise those PAP candidates voted in are sleeping and not moving their butt. I hope no more PAP absentism in parlaiment with more opposition now. Otherwise, we see only blue in parliament and not much white.

KNN my uncle think the erection leesult matched the smirk face of the voters especially the mg pg KNN
