If you talk about majority, than pls focus on chinese population. If you are a chinese, you may be one of the majority that believe in feng shui.
Just for your understanding, Feng shui is an ancient art and science developed over 3,000 years ago in China. It is a complex body of knowledge that reveals how to balance the energies of any given space to assure health and good fortune for people inhabiting it. Feng means wind and shui means water . In Chinese culture wind and water are associated with good health, thus good feng shui came to mean good fortune, while bad feng shui means bad luck, or misfortune. As a chinese, we shouldnt forget our roots.
Investment theory is non ethnic based. Even Singapore population comprises more than Chinese. And if you are speaking about JB, it is in Malaysia. Do I need to say more?

Just fyi, I am of the Chinese race, but I ain't PRC, nor do I believe in feng shui. I can assure you than I am not alone. Not all Chinese in the world are conversant with Chinese traditions, much less feng shui. It will do you good to practise what you preached, "have an open mind"
However, if you are investing in malaysia, you got to take into the issue of ethnicity because if you wanted to sell your house later in malaysia, most likely you got to find a chinese ethnic buyer because other ethnics such as Malay wont be buying house of international lot from you.

As mentioned earlier, one of the biggest problem in Eco Spring houses are with slope ceiling. When you spend time under a sloped ceiling, your energy is being heavily constricted and is under constant pressure. As night time is the only time when your body can do the deep work of regenerating itself, sleeping under a sloped ceiling restricts this work, thus one's health may suffer. Sleeping in a bed under a sloped ceiling can also contribute to emotional instability and low energy. Low energy also associate with other health problems such as impotency and lethargic.
You also must understand why in so many occasion property developers invite feng shui masters to give talk to their potential buyers? This is happening everywhere in Malaysia. My advise is, if you buy property for investment, pls consider feng shui elements.
No doubt, there will be feng shui believer and it is towards this sector of the investors that they hold these talks. Do those developments sell like hot cakes? If you have not learnt, please look up the 4Ps in marketing 101. It will help you get a deeper understanding, instead of superficially postulate reasons behind developer actions. In a seller's market, you don't need to sell. People will buy, feng shui or not. In a buyer's market, you need more than feng shui to sell. In my opinion, the 4Ps, far outweighs feng shui anytime. 4Ps are closely related to feng shui in property sector. When your house have bad feng shui elements, you think you can sell at high price? Example, if your house have bad floor plan design, or facing the junction. Do you disagree?

4P marketing mix will work well if you include 5th P (people) and 6th P (portfolio).
Good sales people will solve fend shui problems instead of condemning. How many houses faces a junction in a housing project? Maybe 2 or 3? Most projects give special price for these unfavorable units and higher price for house no. 8.
How do you solve sloping ceilings? Sloping ceilings in halls is bad only if it is low lying. If it is high, then it is okie. But what about bedrooms? If you can't build a cabinet over it, just install a light trough on the other side to ensure balanced level with the slope.
Even if you want to sleep in it without doing anything, also can. Just put the head of the bed at the higher side of the ceiling. Fend shui said it is bad to sleep with headboard under suppressed ceiling but never say anything with feet under it. You can also paint with contrasting colors to separate the slope and wall.
What about toilets? People say toilets cannot face main door. Bad fend shui. Well, in the olden days in China, all toilets are outside the city and that's why you find people carrying shits at night out of the city. And what do you get? Ching dynasty collapsed and Hong Kong given to British for 100 years. Actually toilets is not recommended to face main door as you do not want smell and sights when you come out of toilets when you have guests at home. Just use a beautiful free standing screen partition. If you can afford it, put up a brick wall.

Well, 4Ps and feng shui is a well connected. In some studies, we call it marketing across cultures.... in some books, it is linked with globalization marketing. In the global business environment, both the marketing mix and CRM tactics must confirm to the needs and culture of regional consumers.
