1. Only a moron with a foul mouth would judge the past using today's modern & advanced lens of thoughts.
2. When GST was enacted in 1994, it reduces personal income tax as such tax is based upon consumption & not income. Did the foul mouthed moron worked out the differences or does he know not even how to subtract or add?
Does one need to buy a Mercedes-Benz to travel on Singapore streets? If so, by all means within one's ability, buy it & on behalf of fellow citizens, thank you for your GST & COE contributions to our National Treasury for social expenditure funding to uplift citizens lives.
3.Estate Duty tax was imposed upon by our colonial masters & enacted in 1929, known then as Estate Duty Ordinance.
Since then there had been no less than 46 revised & amendments to such tax over the years, 1929 to 2008.
Even before Mdm Kwa's passing in 2010, there had no less than 15 amendments & battles in parliament for decades before its abolishment since our Independence.
Ultimately, the point to end such tax lays in the principle - why wait for the average life span of 83 yrs to collect such a tax when GST does more to collect DAILY from the rich?
4. Does the foul mouthed moron know that Estate duty tax is ONLY payable by one who inherits the wealth & assets of a deceased kin, which such tax is abolished in 2008?
When one sells or buy a property, NONE needs to pay Estate duty tax. Only needs to pay stamp duty for such purchases. Only a foul mouthed moron would confuse such taxes. or the willfully ignorant attempting to con the naive.
5. HDB was established in 1960, & by 1965, had built up to 54,000 low cost homes to resolve a housing crisis in Singapore.
Most of the inhabitants had little education & income. Should it be up to private firms to handle the legal conveyancing matters, it would had been beyond the means of such fellow citizens. Thru Mdm Kwa's meticulous work & support, legal conveyancing costs were kept low, far far lower than other firms, as none back then had the vision of how FAR & how constructive HDB would go to create affordable homes for Singaporeans.
Yet, each buyer STILL has a CHOICE - to use HDB or private firms for legal conveyancing. NONE was forced.
Does the foul mouthed moron know that 'conflict of interest' in the political & public arena lays only with those whom are actively ELECTED members & not their wives or children?

The PAP is so hard up for money that they even charge teachers to park in their own school. And yet, they pass up hundreds of millions in revenues from estate. This post of mine is done in memory of Mdm Lee Wei Ling, the only daughter of our Founding Father, whom had NO princess attitude but helped many, the late Mr. Lee Kuan Yew & his brave visionary team, including Mdm Kwa, his beloved wife, whom had done MORE to uplift the lives of the many during our turbulent 60s & 70s to uplift many largely little educated & low income lives to have homes, among many more Founding & forefathers/foremothers whom had given us our todays....
