i used to throw water bombs when motor bikes ramp their engine in the early morning. They need to be considerate for others when they 1 2 do things in the early morning.

Sinkies have a right to be angry with any group which disturbs the peace and is inconsiderate regardless of the race, language or religion of the offenders.

Listen slit-eyed, slant eyed Chink, if you have problems with my people having their wedding processions in OUR Malay land, you, as a yellow breed Chink and Chinks like you who do not belong in MY/OUR Malay land in this part of the Malay world, you are free to fuck off to whatever shithole you came from, i.e. China, Taiwan or Hongkong.

So long as you live in OUR land, OUR Tanah Melayu, you as a pendatang, will live by our rules.

Dirty Chink, don't continue to test your luck and our patience.

The Malay SOLD Singapore to the Brits...

Chump, which part of the word "sold" you do not understand?

At least you are fair in this respect and this is the correct thing.

If this was your land long time ago your kind would be a supreme race and invented technologies, good at war fares, and like the Japs go war with other countries and colonized countries like China and the Brit.

A bunch of layback people waiting for handouts better listen to Chinese to make you prosper and to give you jobs. Without the Chinese in South Asia to trade with you Mats, teach you kungfu, laws and kingdoms, fight alongside with you against the whites you would be end like the Australian aborginals today with 200,000 of them left in NT.

Ang moh kah li chiak leow leow.

Not only that totally ungrateful to chinese and love to be ang moh dogs. They are wearing ang moh backside skins on their faces to make themselves look whiter.

I think the Chinese will not bother about this,,I mean hold weddings at HDB downstairs is soo yesterday. This is no longer the kampongs time,,where the whole village go makan. And hold wedding downstairs is soo cheap, It looks cheap, but not cheap. Uncomfortable as its in a hot day and the married couple end up in debt. I mean the food also no longer cook by the familes like in the past. Why cant the Community centres be used for such activties? Get caterer to supply the food and the rest is history. The PAP should just implement it into law. Keep all the noise polluting activities away from the residents.

If I am in a smart MAT, I will set up a m&d restaurant that caters to wedding celebrations. I dont think the cost in hdb void decks are any cheaper.

Recently there was a case of some Mat wedding that cost $16,000! right...it was a mistake for HDB to have void decks, there was this idiot minister of the past..approved it. In the past, i remember, funerals were held at the funeral parlor...at " say yan kai" , Malay wedding were held under the trees in the kampung...Indian funerals are quieter & faster...

Let us be honest about this, we are not against weddings, funerals to be held at the void decks....but someday, you are sick & nursing an illness or have a bad headache....the chanting, the wedding band...the noises will just drive you nuts...but we tolerate!..live with it, RIGHT?? but deep down inside we bloody curse the....

Could never understand why they want to hold their weddings at void decks?? or the funeral wakes...some funeral wakes, like one near me some time back, lsted one week, & every night there were different groups of monks, nuns etc..that come for chanting...and everything was over & done with...it was approved on a weekend for a Malay wedding....guess I have to be tolerant & accommodating...RIGHT!?? but, what to do..after 'cursing' the noises...life goes on!...the curses go to the people who collect money & approve the noises...

That is why I say PAP need to look into this and revise the current system. its damn dumb to hold funerals and weddings at void decks as in HDB, we no longer have the kampong spirit. peace and quiet is at a premium. They should be held at the Community centres or multi purpose halls...or have it so all noise end by 9pm.

Maybe also design HDB flats so that noise etc does not travel, have soundproof windows and all that, its not expensive and its a necessity as people are living closer to each other than before...

Please note I am advocating the end of all noise polluting activities in residential areas,,,for example, pasar malams and all that getai stuff,,,hold it at the CCs etc,,,if people want to attend, can walk there...

FUCk PAP for not doing its job,,,

Talking about this, communal thing..I am actually doing a mini survey on my own, on how the Chinese communities in South east Asia & other parts of the world, does their burning of joss paper & offerings, especially the 7th month of the Lunar Calendar.

Do they have communal urns in a fixed area, where the prectinct or area, where the worshipers come together & burn & make offering at the same time? not like ours, even after all the years of Town Council providing bins... they still burn, on top of the I.C. ( inspection Cover) over the grills in the drain, on the grass patch that was lovely to look at, the flower bed or bush..under the trees...or under your house, in the drains, when the wind blows, the burning embers fly..

That is the 7th month...then, we have the 1st & 15th of every month in the lunar calendar...either NEA or HDB is not effective in educating the public or they are waiting, like the ban on fire crackers, for some burning embers fly into a home & kill a family...

Can they do a communal worship? can their religion allow ??

Just another stuck-up Stomper who makes himself feel important by picking on others from behind his computer. How many such noise disturbances can there be for him each year....is it so hard to close one eye once in a while???

Some old timer told me that chink weddings were once held at void decks too. But they upgraded to wayang banquets in hotels n forgot their roots. Live n let live no longer holds true.... Sigh....

the hdb void deck design, in my opinion, is one of the most practical, forward-looking and unique designs in the world. it permits air flow, foot traffic flow, keeps residents away from flooding, dirt and peeping toms, allows for easy cleaning and maintenance, plus the numerous benefits of using it for multiple-purpose makeshift halls. central community centers cannot serve all blocks at the same time as they quickly become scarce resources. moreover, these centers are already there, but are occupied and monopolized by you know who. when the sea level were to rise due to global warming, void decks would be the savior of sg. whoever designed and or approved them will be awarded the medal of sang nila utama and may be given the nobel prize. :p

Agree, i think a lot of people don't see the value in void decks. Sit back a minute and imagine a HDB town without them. How dull would life be!
