Singapore river in the 1930s - our forefathers working as coolies
Many of you gave the excuses of how our forefather immigrants built Singapore and made Singapore to what it is today.
Mr Lai, those are facts and not excuses.
And that made you all true blue Singaporeans, with a massive superior complex against present generation of immigrants like your forefathers attempting to build a better life for their families back home or attempting to build a life in Singapore.
We are true Blue Singaporeans, simply because our Parents are Singaporeans. Our Forefathers committed themselves to this Country. They never quit even when things are going against them. They made sacrifices, they cooperate, they unite together to ensure a better future for us. Indeed, things were progressing very well, with Singaporeans generally having job stability, rising income and owning flats, with everything looking bright ahead. Until Mr Goh comes along to change all that. They deserved to be called Singaporeans. It is the attitude and sacrifices they made for Singapore, that make them every inch a Singaporean.
Will the present FT be able to match that? They are here because they are jobless at their own Country. They are here not prepare to stay, but just to s.u.c.k. us dry and leave for greener pasture. They only take us as s.u.c.k.e.r.s, because of the unbelievable benefits and welfare that our Government dished out for them. They are grabbing all the benefits, insulting us and then say sayonara to us. So it is not wrong that we see our Forefather as far more superior than them in every way.
What is the difference?
Back then Singapore wasn’t established yet.
Forefathers came without any benefits, but many uncertainties ahead.
Forefather came with intention to stay and setup a family.
Forefathers went through thick and thin, up and down and made many sacrifices just to see a better tomorrow for this Country.
They were never given heroes or saviors status, they were humble to integrate and live in harmony with the locals. They give more than they take. They suffer and struggle together with the locals.
They went through wars and racial riots and gave their all. Their strong determination and perseverance helped to bring success to Singapore in the shortest time known in history.
Now they learnt to survive on their own, picking up used cans and cardboard, not wanting to depend on the Government or even their Children for their survival. They never even protest against the Government for the way they were treated, after all their sacrifices to see success for this nation.
Some even died alone without anyone knowing. After all their effort, credits and rewards were given to those undeserving party who never even contribute anything, yet they were “rewarded” with suggestion by our “grateful” leader, to send them up north to retire there.
NOW.
Singapore is well establish. Performing better than most Countries in the world, economically.
Every foreigners were given FT, heroes and saviors status. As if our success is due to them.
Benefits were unmatchable and they will be guaranteed a golden early retirement.
Yet, they have never had any intention to stay put here. Knowing the high cost of living will eat away all that they earned, thus, holding on to their Citizenship to go back to their own Country for retirement.
Our Strong currency, will made their earnings multiply many folds and make them wealthy, beyond their wildest dream.
The way our Government continuously publicly announcing that they are our saviors, without them, we will fail. Make them swell with pride, forgetting their once in a life time chance were given to them at our expense and yet, insult us, as if they are helping us.
Unlike our Forefathers, they are not here to work hand in hand with us, but to replace us.
They robbed our jobs, our space, create tension, cause racial disharmony, gave us a sense of hopelessness, not prepare to integrate and yet want us to compromise for them.
It is win win and lose lose situation. They win and win, we lose and lose.
They have yet to show us their contribution or the success that they are suppose to bring and we are already feeling great lost, insecurity, hopelessness, anxiety, great stress, uncertainties forwards, sidelined, no class Citizen.
So the difference is as clear as day and night, as far apart as heaven and hell, as contrasting as black and white and if you still can’t see it, obviously you are blind intentionally.
