For more information, read this book:

It's a murder that never made sense and was never answered. He was too young so he could not be involved. Both same mum, so no reason to remove the eldest. The guy was probably playing with his pistol. Nevertheless 3 people were executed for it.

thank you laksaboy ..where can i get this book ? what is your view on this thread ?

You can find it in Kinokuniya. Maybe the library has it. I had borrowed it from one of my Thai friends.

I think there is no conclusive proof to declare that Bhumibol was guilty. It is plausible though. Could have been the mother, could have been an accident, could have been suicide.

P.S: Do NOT bring this book into Thailand. It is banned in Thailand, and you know the harsh lese majeste laws in Thailand.

no way lah............

the Thai king is more saintly than Jesus leh..............

One rumor had it that the brother ( Rama 8 ) wanted to give up throne to enter politic and the Priminister at that time ( Pibulsongkram ) was heard saying "this fellow so young and know how to think like this oredy, better for us to do something about it"

The three guys were directly responsible for him. They executed them for failing in their duties and to save face of the establishment for failing to take care of a young king. The charge was conspiracy to murder. As it was a long drawn affair with acquittal, appeal, found guilty etc for a few rounds and during those years, nothing surfaced or no other motive has been suggested, my sense is that he accidently shot himself. The timing for murder was also odd. Not a sinister occasion or hour. He got up for breakfast, had orange juice, then decide to jump into bed again.

The establishment was just embarrassed. Its like when some one close kills himself doing stupid things like bungee jumping or extreme sports, the immediate family will cook up a heroic story like a heart condition or traffic accident. No family member is going to tell you that he decided to lay in the median strip of the road as cars zoomed by because the clown saw it Youtube.

The guy was notoriously apolitical and plans were already in the bag for him to return to Switzerland to pursue his masters.
