Thanks bro I always think of bright side. I runroad here for only 2 things: make money and have a good life. Some ppl have the mistaken idea that the thais are so deferential to the king simply becos he's the king and that's how they are suppose to behave towards him. Was this always the case for the thais to behave towards their monarchy?

I read that the present king did many good things for his subjects and hence their respect for him. Were the thai ppl supposed to treat their king like a god simply due to his birthright or does he need to earn their respect? Like the chinese emperors in the olden days they didn't need to be kind or benevolent and ppl would still worship them. The english monarchy used to be something like that but changed towards the middle ages.

Oic well i'm not a thai nor do i know the ground work over there and what the common thai ppl of everyday are thinking and saying. Comeon i don't know the situation there. It's also hard to read about the opinions of every common thai person since most of their forums aren't written in english unlike sg and we know more about sg cos we're sinkies (duh) so pardon me if that's what i have been reading about the thai king and the monarchy.
