You obviously do not know the Artillery , then NVM....he was tha CO of an Artillery Unit..somewhere back in time, mostly TA's....:p was a Second Lt...way back then...same floppy look of today, with black hairs...the food at camp was exceptionally good....

I believe that he went for full BMT course. But all the instructors and platoon mates were vetted first before they can bunk with him. In OCS and SOA, he was not allowed late night training. So, all his coursemates also benefit from it. They have to lights out by 10pm regardless whether the training was complete or not. he needs to get his minimum 8 hours sleep. Very switch off course. That is why today, he cannot shoot for crap, still woh woh with an M-16. A fucking embarassment.

At one time, he and Hsien Yang were actually decent grounded chaps. Quite humble. He used to drive around in a Daihatsu Charade with his bodyguard/driver and always sit in the front seat. I asked him once when NS can be over and abolished with. he said never. WTF? That is not what I want to hear. His reply to me indicated that the PAP has no desire to co-exist peacefully with the neighbours. Bloody useless.

His personal driver would be waiting at the gate of the camp, comes in work regulation time, goes home regulation time ( office hours), no night training......and the Chief Of Artillery is not far away...wonder whose rank was higher!, but power was lower!

He only crawled out when the 'war' was nearly over. I remembered the people were trapped for hours before anybody came up with any plan. It wasnt even his plan. As always, the whole SAF made doubly, triply sure that everything was going to be A-OK before they put him in front to claim the credit.

My NS OC said BG Lee is sportsman fit not a pussy since many of you think he is a sissy,

Before he got downgraded because of cancer, he easier did the 2.4km run in 7 minutes, an SAF record, clears the SOC slightly lousy timing of 8 minutes flat and the standard chin-ups, he scores "AA" that is 12 above the NAFA best = 24!

They could not make him a PTI because he is offizer grade, best of all they NSlaves would be grateful that he could be their offizer so that Dad would not sent his son to war with any imaginery enemies.

He is also a super marksman CTSS he missed by a shot to score full marks, he purposedly missed the perfect score to hit he buddy's target to give him a pass to qualify for OCS. His buddy eventually becomes a RearAdmirer in the RS Navy.

Despite his marksmanship, SAF did not make him a sniper because as a maths genius he is even more accurate with the artillery pieces. Sends shivers down the spines of "enemies" of singapore when you can fire a 155mm arty shell within 1 meter accuracy to hit anywhere within a 25km radius around Singapore

If this kind of military material if don't become BG in his Dad's Army, it would be a waste to the nation.

By the way, his Dad did not broke any rules to promote him, His dad's subordinates in the Army did.

At his amazing rate of 1 promotion every year, was he a super fit soldier? Can he do 50 pull ups? Run the SOC under 5 mins?

the world record for 3000m ( 7.5 laps ) in the 1970s was around 7:45.00

It is obvious that Ah Loong is a gifited athlete, not a future General or PM.

His 2.4km was done on record within 7 minutes when he boarded the Safety Rover at half way mark.

His record 8-minutes SOC in FBO (full battle order) ended before the low wall.

His 24 chin-ups was done on the low chin up bar.

His finished the 24km route march ahead of everybody under 40 degrees Celcius heat without even stepping out of camp, Dad missed him visited camp and his training was interrupted.. he was nice to wait for everybody at the finishing line.

All his buddies fired on His targets during CTSS, the only shoot he hit was the one he "gave" to his future RearAdmirer buddy during BMT to pass him...during night shoot, He actually thought the target was his. By the way he had 30 shot in each of his M16 magazine.

Somewhere down the rumour line, all distorted tales could become divine gospel.
