Came to know an ex-army campmate's father passed away when his bicycle got hit by car, on his way home after work.
I gave him a call to express my condolences. I asked if driver was punished, he said no fault of driver because it was his father's oversight after long day at work. He was calm and came to terms with it.
The reason of me sharing this is that car drivers have more control of the road and even if the cyclist is wrong, we should give them some leeways. Many of us will.
Except those tour-de-france ones, of course.
