Thanks for your compliments. I believe that we, whether in the social media or in person, must speak responsibly. If social media forumners do so, we can be the third force after the ruling party and Opposition, and in time to come can help share the truth and knowledge with fellow Singaporeans. We can even help make life better for the average citizen.

The pap cant treat a citizen as nobody nor pour scorn on the lone singaporean because of social media. Every citizen counts!

If they do suffer from insomnia, it's because they love the country and its people and are constantly thinking of ways to improve the lives of Singaporeans.

It's not easy being a Minister. The workload is heavy and the rewards are few and far between. The satisfaction comes from knowing that they are helping to make Singapore a better place for future generations to come.

Of course, it is not easy to be a minister.. Only those who are capable and who are talented can cope with the demands of a minister. if those who get insomnia because of Minister's workload, he does not have the ability to be a political leader and is not the man right for the job. He shd leave. no one compels him to stay

But I sense that some are coping well with the job demand but cant sleep because their conscience is troubled.

so who are the ministers who cant sleep at night? whoever cant shd leave

The irony is that the pap keeps spouting such nonsense. The average Singaporean did ask any minister to come into political office. every minister is a willing contestant and canvassed for Singaporeans' votes. So if they think they dont want the job, just dont stand for election. no one compels them to stand

I hope that the impending pay cut for ministers will be deep enough. That will be good for SG, the pap and singaporeans. It will restore some semblance of honour to our politicians and Singaporeans can look up to these servant leaders again. The bitterness of the population and distrust for the pap is not good for all. The Review must rectify this bitterness and reconcile/restore the goodwill Singaporeans have for the pap

haha..............a good rebuff of a so-called English expert. but even if he was right, the money compensation of millions to each minister negates the need for any rewards of the non-monetary kind.

Yup, particularly likes to pound on people who uses american spellings as in "advice vs advise". but this is one role of his that I never grudge him for, it's good to keep a high standard of english used in this forum, to give the Pappies less chance to belittle the social media.

Look at the list in post 1! are they signs that SG is crumbling? is "Crumbling of Singapore?" a statement or a question??

On the other hand we had soc.culture.singpore and this forum.As I said before they run on buddy system .The problem lies in the huge ego of participants.Participants formed gangs and scratched each other backs.Topics were discussed based on personalities than issues.Because if a moniker X is close to moniker Y he or she has to agree with each other view and cannot be seen to openly disagree.Bu the real chink in he armour is ; since because they subscribe to cartels they browbeat newbies simply because a newbie may refuses to pay homage to them.Now,driving newbies away is a formula for stagnancy...because without new blood there is no renewal.

Same thing still follow in this forum; especially where politics are concerned.As you would have noticed that this forum is Worker’s Party dominated and any other favorable views of say SDP or others is thoroughly thrashed—not based on the merit of your argument but simply by numbers of comments against you.The other tactic is refusal to engage you---or through multiple posts that buries your comment.

And because of this buddy system the question of face value arises with serious consequences.....just see the number of feuds here over trivial matters..I bet you in 3 months time you would gain your personal enemy whether you like it or not.....Otherwise,just stay in the corner like I do. In short ,if a moniker S had been flaunting his plumage as the numero uno; he has to argue to win all the time at any cost in order to save face.And there are many such nut cases here who argue for argument sake.

The defunct TR arised above this pettiness which was quite refreshing but to the detriment of PAP……For which PAP had to invoke a mole planted within who eventually destroyed TR.

I speculate a moniker named kojakbt is the culprit. I also speculate it’s the very same people who running the this new http://www.tremeritus.com/
