Wow the Singapore numbers are quite different from the numbers here in Alberta.

Maybe the crowded city just means the virus spreads around a lot more.....

Which brings to......
The stupid antivaxxers have neglected the real numbers...

When you have 90% of the population being vaccinated and 50.1% in ICU requiring oxygen, that doesn't sound good for the unvaxxed. 73.4% of those unfortunate souls who passed on were also unvaxxed or partially invaxxed.

Situation update

1. Over the last 28 days, 98.5% of local infected cases were asymptomatic or had mild symptoms, 1.2% required oxygen supplementation, and 0.1% had been in the ICU. Amongst those who required oxygen supplementation and ICU, 49.9% were fully vaccinated and 50.1% were unvaccinated/ partially vaccinated.

2. 11 more cases have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection2. Of these, 5 were male Singaporeans and 6 were female Singaporeans, aged between 66 and 98 years. Amongst them, 3 had been unvaccinated against COVID-19, 6 had been partially vaccinated and 2 had been vaccinated. All of them had various underlying medical conditions.

3. Amongst those who have passed away over the last 28 days, 26.6% were fully vaccinated and 73.4% were unvaccinated/ partially vaccinated.

4. As of 12 October 2021, 12pm, amongst all COVID-19 community cases who have been onboarded or admitted, 16,932 (78.7%) cases are undergoing Home Recovery. 2,626 (12.2%) cases are in Community Care Facilities, 335 (1.6%) cases are in COVID-19 Treatment Facilities, and 1,619 (7.5%) COVID-19 patients are currently warded in hospital, mostly for observation. 291 require oxygen supplementation, and 42 are in the ICU.

Thanks Dredd.

Consistent with Alberta's numbers.

I still think that survival of the fittest is the best strategy of dealing with Covid.

Had Singapore taken the hit last year instead of mollycoddling the vulnerable the country would be home free by now with little to worry about.

Compare Sweden with Singapore and decide for yourself which country is safer in 2021.

Is the number of testing responsible for this data? Of course, if you don't test as much you don't get the numbers.

We are on the way to following Sweden's example of not showing tests results. If we do that, we'll definitely go lower...

Yeah but Sweden's current death rate is lower too and heading in the right direction.

They took the hit last year so that's done and dusted.

So the question remains: If there are no test numbers to begin with, how do they know any death is related to COVID. Unless they test every death for COVID, there's no way to verify and the data is flawed.

I guess the death figures would be accurate in the developed countries where those that died would probably already be in hospital.

In 3rd word countries many would just die at home or in a drain.

Probably the aliens using medbeds in 3rd world countries where they can work and not be noticed.

I really need one of those med beds because I find myself being unable to keep up with 30 year old cyclists anymore. 10 years ago I could still hang on for dear life and finish in the same bunch. Nowadays I blow up after 20km and that's the end of my group ride.

It is disheartening and downright depressing.

If I recalled correctly, healthcare workers and front-line staff got their shots in Jan/Feb period, followed by the elderly as well as those folks who are immunocompromised in March.
Thanks for the clarification. Remember the hospital cluster? Now add on to what I speculated.

Anders Tegnell is a fucking hero. Guy stood steadfast even though everyone was baying for his head.
He relied on centuries old wisdom about epidemic management to steer Sweden through the
worst. Not Pharma fuelled vaccine madness.

In stark comparison, Singapore has cowered and weakened everyone's immune system...even a bout of flu could now
rip through without any resistance.

9 more deaths... death toll at 192

About a year ago I asked my classmate in SG why SG covid deaths so low hardly any! Like 1 or 2. Meanwhile in Canada many per day.

His reply was that SG doctors in ICU are damn kilat!

So what happened this time? The daily numbers of deaths you are seeing now very comparable now with what I see in Alberta.
