[COVID-19 Virus] The Sinkies are fucked Thread.

The useless 4G and Pinkie will blame it on the “virulent South Asian” strain, and hype it up as being dangerous. Just to deflect responsibility for letting all the Brahmins into Singapore before it was fully vaccinated. This will just panic everybody… the expectation the government has created in Singapore for zero cases all the time is just unrealistic given that the virus is now endemic.

How are they going to open up if zero cases Is the goal? Just vaccinate everybody to ensure the hospitals aren’t flooded with cases…

Two cases were linked to a Philippine national who works as an operating theatre nurse at Sengkang General Hospital.

The first case is a six-year-old Singaporean who studies at Palm View Primary School. The boy is a classmate of a seven-year-old Philippine national at EduFirst Learning Centre in Hougang.

The seven-year-old boy, known as Case 63122, is a student at Yio Chu Kang Primary School and was confirmed with COVID-19 on May 12.

This skh pinoy nurse unwell and refused to see a doctor.

Experience here in Alberta is covid spreads a lot in schools. Very common. But hardly ever hear of kids gets very sick until die or anything.

Just quarantine.

We did go online school for all grades when cases went up.

The main worry is ICU overwhelm. Singapore got lots of ICU capacity and the ICU drs are best in rhe world.

Sg nothing to fear really

Yes, key thing is to manage hospital capacity… can reduce demand by mass vaccination. Singapore just opened up too quickly. Fingers crossed that the mRNA vaccines are effective against the new variants. More info: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/acip/meetings/downloads/slides-2021-05-12/10-COVID-Scobie-508.pdf

Dont think so lah.

Hospitalized stable 187

Singapore got more than 187 ICU beds for whole country lah.

Seems like not really effective.
Don’t forget that the real point of vaccines is to avoid getting sick enough to die. If a vaccine also stops you from getting infected as well, then this is icing on the cake. So far, it looks like the mRNA and J&J vaccines are good enough to prevent serious illness and death.

Yes.

The India situation is one of corruption ans greed. India can make the vaccine. They were selling the vaccines to foreign countries to make money instead of vaccinating their own people.

Singapore will be just fine. The expectation in sg is too high right now.

Govt is trying to attain zero cases status so it can open up tourism sector. Not so easy. But the covid situation for locals is safe
