Sufficient Supply for most products in NTUC and Cold Storage except:

1. Rice - Very high level of stockpile but intentionally released slowly to prevent hoarding. So the shelves look empty.
2. Instant Noodles - Empty Shelves because instant noodles can tide things over a few day if there is short disruptions.
3. Fresh Produce - Large supply replenished this morning and despite huge demand by 2pm still readily available.
4. Toilet Rolls - NIL. Don't understand why need to hoard toilet rolls, please enlighten me. Ample supply from wholesalers, eg Toyogo (today).
5. Canned Food - cheap popular items running low (eg. Tuna) but still available.

The same situation is now duplicated in Johor Bahru today.

The ministers who came out to speak lack the credibility to calm the situation. Their choice of words, tonality come across more as
political statements, than concern, care and assurance. Even the NTUC statement below provides solid data which the population
at large cannot relate to. Who cares who many million rolls of toilet paper are there in Singapore - all I need to ensure that I have
enough for the next two weeks. Dishing out the data on instant noodles, toilet rolls BUT not one single word on whether there's
enough masks if things go really red.

And where/who is the CEO of the CDC who should make an appearance, face the press and provide real "medical" advice,
instead of rolling out ministers who in turn roll out motherhood statements which do not assure that they have a Plan B
or a Plan C.

And for CCS exposing MOH's "error" about the issuance of the Orange alert in public certainly will not help in boosting morale of all
working in the ministry - including doctors who may have been working without much time off. The fact of the matter is the
gahmen seem unable to get the timing of the press releases correct, which leads one to ask whether the highly grossly over paid
ministers and civil servants have been exposed by their incompetence.

Manpower ministry revokes 4 work passes for Leave of Absence breaches, suspends employer privileges

SINGAPORE: The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) has revoked the work passes of four people and suspended the work pass privileges of six employers for breaching Leave of Absence (LOA) requirements put in place to manage the novel coronavirus outbreak.
All work pass holders with recent travel history to mainland China are required to serve a mandatory 14-day LOA upon their arrival in Singapore, as part of Government efforts to manage the evolving coronavirus situation.

Between Feb 4 and Feb 8, four work pass holders were caught working at their workplaces during their LOA periods, the ministry said in a press release on Sunday (Feb 9).
"As part of ongoing efforts to ensure that work pass holders placed on mandatory LOA abide by the requirements, MOM has been conducting regular random checks through inspections, telephone or video calls," said the release.

The four work pass holders have had their work passes revoked and were repatriated within 24 hours, said the ministry.
"These workers have also been banned from working in Singapore permanently," it added.
The ministry also found two permanent residents working at their workplaces during their LOA.
"Although citizens and PRs are not subject to a mandatory LOA requirement, MOM will still hold employers responsible for ensuring that those who need to be on LOA stay away from the workplace," it said.
MOM has suspended for two years the work pass privileges of the six employers involved in the breaches.
Employers and employees have a "joint duty" to ensure that employees behave responsibly during their Leave of Absence periods, said the ministry.
"MOM will not hesitate to revoke the work passes and withdraw work pass privileges against errant employers or employees," it added.
Employers must obtain MOM’s approval for all work pass holders with travel history to mainland China within the last 14 days, before the employee can enter or return to Singapore.
