The same goes for Dr Tan See Leng and Dr Vivian Bala.

Lam Pin Min and Lim Wee Kiak both regular SAF medical officers. So maybe they got roped in that route. And they were younger also. Unfortunately the reality is SAF medical officers not so highly respected and valued as successful senior consultants established in hospital or private sector. Or GP who sold clinic chain and already senior advisor to medical conglomerates.

Dr Chia Shi Lu already quit politics liao. I get the impression he didnt like politics? But I may be wrong.

Anyway all these guys my senior. Never worked with them. Also were not my tutors except for Dr Ng Eng Hen.

The biggest perk.
I do not believe that they personally pay for the security officers.
In Singapore, those Ministers are paid very generously or exorbitantly. Those appointed prior to the change, will also receive a very generous pension May be as much as what they earned prior to being a Minister.

Could very well be true.

But my guess is he finds it hard to tahan the nonsense from patients. Seriously doing well in private sector means a lot of sayanging patients. You have to take their nonsense smile cannot scold cannot tell them off must find common ground often do what patient wants.

For a high IQ intelligent person with strong self belief and self confidence it is hard to bend over all the time and let patient screw you and suck their dicks.

Patient not happy easy complain to SMC also.

Become Minister? You just need to curry favor LHL LKY GCT some of the other key cadre be on good terms.....less headache lah.

Honestly from the botton of my heart I tell you it is easier to curry favor a few key people than to try to please every customer as a front line service worker.

And drs are front line service people.

There is ethical limit to how much aurgeon can charge. Cannot charge million for 1 patient. So still got to service many patients.

Tiring lah. Remember also in pte sector nobody chup you. Not like hospital. No houseman. No med students. No registrar. You on your own. In fact also need to curry favor anesthetist and other staff at private hospital.
