My contribution:

5 Tan Kia Gan, then Minister for National Development, was investigated in August 1966 for attempting to help his close businessman friend Lim Tjin Hauw and his son William Lim to clinch the sale of Boeing aircraft to Malaysian Airways. He also acted as an intermediary for his brother-in-law in the sale of a tin mine to Lim. For this, he was given 70,000 shares worth $1 each. As the witnesses did not want to implicate him, Tan Kia Gan was administratively stripped of all his public appointments by the Government.

6 Teh Cheang Wan, then Minister for National Development, was investigated in 1986 for accepting 2 bribes totalling $1 million from Hock Tat Development Pte Ltd and Ho Yeow Koon of Keck Seng Pte Ltd in 1981 and 1982 respectively. Hock Tat Development had paid Teh a gratification of $500,000 after he helped the company to retain a piece of land that was earmarked for acquisition by the Government. Ho Yeow Koon had also given a gratification of $500,000 to Teh for helping to buy over a piece of State land for private development. Teh committed suicide before he could be formally charged in court. He maintained till the end that he was innocent.

LKY has always boasted that the selection process for PAP candidates is extremely stringent. Only those men and women of absolute intergrity and honesty can pass the PAP selection criteria. LKY said on the other hand, opposition candidates are bicycle thieves etc.

Well, Choo Wee Khiang is just the latest to prove LKY and the PAP otherwise. This in fact is the 2nd time that Choo is being charged. He went to prison for an fraud offence some years back. In this year's GE, one of PAP candidates had to withdraw himself the very last minute on Nomination Day. Although the actual reason was not established or should I should say, not published by the state-controlled media, it has something to do with his morals (I believe his involvement with another woman came to light). If PAP is as thorough and strict as LKY tells us, would they have missed this? In fact they were so blur that they still didn't know anything about this candidate right up to Nomination Day. If that candidate had not voluntarily withdrew himself, will the PAP clowns ever know? The electorate would also be none the wiser.

It's therefore really time for S'poreans (especially the 60%) to wake up and not simply accept what LKY and his PAP cronies tell us as they had done in the past. The first and foremost criteria that LKY and PAP uses is whether the potential candidate is a PAP balls carrier or not. One that will do his or her master bidding everytime. One that will not challenge the PAP authorites but simply follow instructions. Once he or she satisfy these criteria, he or she will then be allowed to hang onto to the coat tails of some Ministers under the GRC system and sneak into parliament. That's how over the years, we see clowns and comedians like Lim Swee Say, Wong Kan Seng, Mah Bow Tan, Lim Boon Heng, Khaw Boon Wan just to name a few. I am sure forummers here can add to the list.

This the same idiot who made the remark that it was so dark in Serangoon Road on that sunny day, and all because there were so many Indians.

He shld make that remark today again, and he'll get a medal. Maybe a reprieve from Singaporeans for his latest sins.

Yes, that's the loser alright. I remember watching him addressing MIW on TV in 1988 at the PAP Convention where he put forth as a potential GE candidate in Marine Parade. He was mimicking LKY in every way he could when he was giving his speech. His posture, his hands movement, the pausing etc were so LKY like. Well, he can be adopt all LKY antics when he appear before the judge this time to plead his defence and see if the judge cares!!!! Btw the rumor is that he got involved in all these alleged corrupt acts because of his "close association" with the lady who is also being charged. So this is the type of integrity LKY is talking about of his PAP candidates.

Choo Wee Kiang for 4 incidents counting this.

One of it was misconduct at Island Country Club and was suspended. And this guy despite all this spoke at PAP rally this year.

Do note that all the high fraud cases in terms of money lost except for Barings was all GLCs. SIA, Asia Pacific Brewaries, Ministry of National Development. In the case of Barings it was failure of Governance and Elizabeth Sam was replaced. He Deputy actually recommended Leeson to other investors.

What about those ever investigated by the CPIB but No Further Action taken, for lack of evidence or whatever reason(s)? GY and Chandra Das?

These are the interesting cases. Lack of evidence? or interference from higher ups?

Singaporeans should know the truth.

But as Tharman said.."it is good for Singaporeans to know but they dont need to know". It is such pap arrogance and lack of transparency that has led to Singapore's moral and eventual decline

This shows that it is not what you do that matters but who you know matters. Isnt this croynism and despotism?

CWK lacks wisdom, EQ, IQ and he was a PAP MP. That speaks volumes of PAP moral standard. Can we trust PAP anymore?

Why didn't the Opposition, throw 'm&d' into the fan? or are they sleeping? If this was an opposition member, he would have been 'strung up on a pole' & paraded round the island, from mon to sun & public holiday.

They should have connected the dots with the 'choo, choo, train' who stood at HG to this, 'choo, choo, choo'!!

Yes, if it was an Opposition MP who was caught corrupt, the pap and SG media wld have paraded him and strung him up on a pole.

That's PAP's standard
