I think after 5 years when I fully retire at age 60 and my son is 21...independent...working in the oild field, I would like to retire back in Singapore to go to all those opposition rallies.

Since my son is 21, I do not need to worry about N.S. liabililty for him even I become a Singapore PR......maybe I buy a small private studio flat of some 500 sq feet with private pool ..... just a simple lifestyle but enjoy going to the opposition rally and give people lie Jaslyn my moral support.

Or like my wife, I will just spend Canada winter in Singapore.

[Perspective]

The SDP/USD have never denied that SDP volunteers formed USD. It so happened that SDP had a number of non-members willing to serve the SDP's cause and do the party this favour of forming a standby. They could do so without compromising dual-membership legality since they weren't members. The USD chairman Monica Kumar may be a SDP candidate but just has to do the technicality of resigning SDP. The rest - JG, Seelan Palay's father, Rachel Zeng etc.

And the reason is clear - in case SDP is dissolved. In the event it happens, the SDP members will sign up with USD and current USD CEC will step down to make way for the once-SDP CEC members.

What they probably don't know is that under the Societies Act, it is not so easy to dissolve a society.

SDP's urgent need of yin & yang. hence the formation of 2 parties just in case one gets wound up, SDP would have 2 back ups. don't forget they claimed that they have very "ënlarged supports".

that's why i think many are puzzled, bewildered and shocked that SDP needs to appeal for donation of $20k to save chee's butt from being chromed in changi holiday resort.
