They might even issue mourning tags or mourner's black armbands to the all institutions/schools/uniformed/civil sectors, order everyone to wear them for the entire duration.

They will have a reality game show contest for people to auditionto be the 'singapore mourner', and then the finalists will be mourning at the wake, to dramatise the whole event.

Then our poor NS boys will be given funeral guard duty, then every morning 0800hours will have a changing of guards parade. On the day the cottage leaves for lim chu kang or mandai or wherever they decide as sacred spot, there will be ceremonial cannons for the 21gun salute.

Might also activate people association/ NTUC/ Keppel to summon as many people to attend the funeral procession to make it look like a nation in mourning.

There will be LIVE multi-cast on all TV channels in different languages for the funeral procession.

Thousands and many saddened silence love JBJ out of heart.
Whole Singapore love LKY out of fear.
When a person passes on, he hopes to see sincerity by his bedside. JBJ is more fortunate than the latter in this regard

Mr JBJ is loved by many.
Thousands and thousands of people who attended his wake went with their hearts and true admiration.
Mr JBJ may not be a govt-office bearer, but he seems to belong to many Singaporeans.
Those who bid farewell to him have nothing to ask for return, just the spirit of wanting to be with him in the last walk.

What if LKY suddenly closes his eyes for good?
Would you attend his wake? Would you guys meet for potation to celebrating his death (no drunk that night don’t go home?)

Of course, being LKY, a great leader in the eyes of his beholders, the mass media would go crazy, Singapore would breakdown for a month, flag would flutter at half mast, and the news would make sure the world pays him the last respect.

So what say you? Those who attend his wake are hypocrites or are at no choice? So those who cry louder at the side of his casket with the name tag on would get promotion earlier?

Just think about the strength of the PAP Inc.
All dept heads would work double hard and mark attendance and mark those who skip the queue at the wake.

Comparing both the wakes, Mr. JBJ will be remembered spiritually whereas LKY would be remembered materialistically. If there are no F1 and casinos to earn money for the civil servants, LKY would be forgotten in two week’s time after his demise.

LKY's wake will be attended by thousands of Ah Gon & Ah Ma everyday - from RCs, CCCs, PA, etc - whereby they have no idea where the buses will be heading to - until they realized it's LKY's wake - and then curse and swear - yelling "Yao Siew" - just like GE rallies.

JBJ's wake already drew large crowds of silenced supporters... i'm think the crowd at the church service tmr at st.andrews would be paramount. mandai crematorium, i think will be superpacked.

conversely for the old man's, ppl would prolly be too busy getting drunk on champagne

I think it'd be a sure bet that the funeral for the late freedom fighter- JBJ will be a gigantic turn up. Attended by admirers for his passion for democracy, people who've been moved by his determination & dedication to the cause.

As for the old man's, probably attended by people who're being ordered to do so.

LBJ is Christian and so the wake is very solemn, sober and quiet.

LKY, I think he is free thinker or Taoist ( something like dat), so it will be very noisy wake. Mediacorpse will come and perform. There will be WAYANG also and since they do it everyday should be quite good performances. So all Singaporeans must come and pay last respects to send him on his last journey to........???????
