JY-27是一款米波三坐标雷达，主要是探测中高空目标。这款雷达在探测空中目标时的距离为500公里，能够在距离200公里处同时跟踪72个目标，是对抗敌机的“千里眼”，配合防空武器的使用能够达到非常好的效果。JY-27对空警戒雷达融合了米波和有源相控阵技术，具备对隐形目标探测、弹道导弹预警、目标识以及情报分析、组网信息融合等功能。
JYL-1是一款善于在远距离发现目标的S波段雷达。此前的卫星照片显示，叙军主要是在北部的阿勒颇一直到哈塞克一线的M4高速公路部署JYL-1三座标警戒与引导雷达。因为，这种雷达探测范围可以达到320公里，可以引导防空导弹拦截，担负起叙利亚中北部地区的防空探测任务。而且这种雷达是一种四合一雷达，是集防空预警、弹道导弹探测跟踪、炮位侦察、空管为一体，还具有比较好的抗电磁干扰能力。委内瑞拉也曾进口过该雷达。

装备这三款中国产雷达后，可帮助叙利亚防空部队提高拦截能力。JY-27是VHF波段体制雷达，是作为远程目标的探测来定位的，JYL-1雷达则提供空中目标的精确引导，而LLQ-120型则是一种低空补盲雷达。三款雷达配合使用构成一个初级的防空体系，一旦这些防空体系整合S300导弹成功，无疑对其的命中精度有了极大的提升。尽管叙军的战报中肯定掺杂了不少“水分”，但也确实有很多以色列导弹弹体残骸坠落在叙境内的情况。
