When I was in school, one of my subjects I took was History ( not HISstory) & China, especially Modern Chinese History was my focus. As a school boy I bought a reference book from MPH on Modern Chinese History , not the watered down versions in our text books by MOE Singapore; which was more than a month's allowances...I still have that hard copy book. The Other in paperback form ( cover different from the recent editions) "Stillwell And The American Experience in China by Barbara W. Tuchman, still have the book.

I cried reading Chinese history, on how fucked up we are as Chinese....it is in the DNA that the Chinese are never, & can never be one people; for money they will sell anything, themselves, their daughters, sons, wives etc... anything, just show them the money. They will even open the city gates for the enemies to come in & slaughter everything...all of course for money. The greatest humiliation in Chinese history was the massacre in Nanjing ( Nanking), that again once again, we have Chinese traitors...this & many others over the 100 years shows how fucked up the Chinese are. The maybe modern, technologically advance...the DNA is still the same.
