The US has instigated more wars than all the communist nations combined. See the mess in the Middle East and Central Asia. Ukraine war was instigated by US, not Russia. Hamas is an elected govt, Israel is a supposed democracy but is conducting a genocide with US weapons and money.

Because both the CCP and KMT who founded modern Taiwan agreed that Taiwan is part of China. Because Taiwan has been a part of China since early Qing until the Japs snatched it away and colonized it for 50 years. There's no peace treaty between the mainland and Taiwan cos both the CCP and KMT had hoped to reunite mainland and Taiwan under their respective rule, an ongoing project.
Singapore was never a part of China. It's tanah melayu, colonized by Brits who brought in Chinese coolies who then became the majority race. Our national language is Malay, not Chinese.
China should try to invade Taiwan. Taiwan Mainlanders descendants Generals still control their Army. They will fight for the ROC but not to the end because most of them believe in Chinese reunification, a short symbolic war to convince themselves that they did their best for ROC then they will surrender to the invading PRC armies.
An invasion will bring the Americans in. The native Hokkiens will sell out their country to the US, and a prolonged war will ensue, if not nuclear. Something China can't afford right now, with its economy slowing down.
China has to defeat Taiwan fast to avoid USA intervention. Taiwan's army and population are now not prepared for a war, it is clear that there will be no peaceful Chinese reunification whether DPP or KMT is Taiwan govt. if China really wants Taiwan, a war is inevitable.

Using the coast guard to to do a blockade, control the ports and squeeze the economy, causing Taiwan eventually to capitulate is more viable. I think this is what the CCP is planning.

US will not go to war with China over Taiwan on its own. Its strongest allies - UK, Canada, Australia, Japan and S Korea will be dragged in. Not sure what role there is for Singapore which is a close US ally. Very complicated and messy affair. Better not happen during our lifetime.
India is a double headed snake. Just as America is using India to contain China, India is also using America to wring concessions and buy American complicity for atrocities and human rights abuses committed by the BJP, especially against minorities and Muslims.

BEIJING -- China, Russia and North Korea are expected to start discussions soon about allowing ships to navigate a border river into the Sea of Japan, which could have major security implications for Tokyo.
The waterway, the Tumen River, flows east along the border of China and North Korea, and eventually also of Russia, before emptying into the Sea of Japan.
