What about India? India population is just slightly below China. Anyway agree with your point. No point making a group of athletes rich and famous just to cheer and feel good and proud about country. At best, sports just entertainment if you like to watch it and chance to gamble for gamblers. But modern sports have a modern purpose, to make profits for sport corporations. Which brands which athletes use can make differences in millions and billions of sales and profits.

Going by current logic, cannot put Ah Neh athletes in an arena with others, their BO will spoil the air for other athletes. One whiff of the air and they all peng san.

Anyway, I read somewhere once the the Hindu culture does not place emphasis on physical aspects of the human body, and it had never encouraged the building/improvement of the body's ruggedness. If there is any truth in this, then it will take India a few generations to overcome this and be inline in their thoughts with the rest of the world.
