If you have never stepped into China, you will regret for a thousand years...The West Lake in Hangzhou is one spectacular lake - one of the world's most beautiful lakes...Missed it at your own regrets..The West Lake offers picture postcard-esque Chinese vistas ( tea-growing hills, trees, flowers, pagodas, pavilions, old fishing boats). And beautiful Hangzhou girls with their snow white skin and eternal smooth skin and beauty....China is NO URINE.....

In ancient times Suzhou, Hangzhou and nearby Yangzhou were known for their beautiful and accomplished courtesans. It does these women no justice to call them "prostitutes". Ancient Chinese courtesans were cultured and talented, known for far more than their beauty alone, and under the patronage of the emperors these cities became home to a very unique and special gene pool.
Wives and daughters of wealthy and powerful men could not leave home or show their educational accomplishments in public without disgracing themselves. When traveling or entertaining, men instead sought out the company of courtesans. Ancient Chinese courtesans could discuss history and literature, play music, paint, write poetry, even play Chinese chess. Some were drawn to the area by opportunity, others through lack of any other choice, but freed from the restraints binding other women and allowed to shine, many of these fabulous ladies soared to great heights in ancient Chinese society.
Although love making was certainly part of their repertoire, it was not dispensed easily or to just anyone. Their patrons were the richest merchants and highest-ranking officials, and their relationships with these men could become quite complex. Some even gained the favor of the emperor himself.

In Suzhou today, even the daughters of average middle-class Suzhou families are known for their beauty and intelligence. Their skin is smooth, their bodies soft and slender, their eyes bright, their eyebrows slim and their noses straight. They speak softly and melodiously as sweet birdsong. Their talents and abilities show not only good breeding but also a strong culture of education and refinement. Clearly Suzhou's cultural environment is still producing outstanding beauties.

if you have not been to Huangshan in China,you have not seen the best of mountains...it is nature's grand masterpiece. the sunrise and the sunset are nature's great design...the clouds are like seas and oceans...the mountain landscape is like a massive calligraphy of geological wonders....Huangshan in China is a MUST.....the most beautiful mountain under heaven....

yes, it's a must if you are going to shanghai, hangzhou and suzhou....huangshan is the most beautiful mountain i've been...and you can go there during the four seasons with different landscapes...it's paradise in huangshan.....

After the RED revolution, is there still history and civilization in PRC? There is total disregard for "history and civilization" unless it suits the CCP and the wallet$.
A mainland KMT ROC Taiwanese was ridiculing the distortion of Chinese history by the local guide during my tour. Dinner time was always interesting with him around. He know Chinese history better than the guide and the guide cannot answer his questions.
The problem with China is still central planning with disregard to safety. Elderly people fell down during the tour because of lack of safety in design.
Hotels look 5-stars externally, but there is always something missing or wrongly patched up somewhere.
When news is censored, you get strange incidents like 15000 bloated dead pigs floating towards modern Shanghai.
China needs reforms but they are only interested in band-aids. Milk powder problems not solved, property bubbles not fixed even when the govt has absolute power!
Lucky, southern China is showing signs of change.

According to Li Hui and many other chinese scholars, Miao, Han, and Tibetan split from DNA marker M134 and share DNA marker M122 ,and Miao is the closest group to sino-tibetan. Li Hui stated that Chiyou and Yandi are from the same tribe and that Yandi was originally ox totem as Chiyou, and it was only later that he changed it to dragon totem as Huangdi tribe. Li Hui and other chinese scholars also said that Chiyou descended from Shennong or Yandi and that the later Qiangic and Miao people of Yandi and Chiyou both made up Sanmaio Kingdom. My question is, if Yandi and Chiyou are from the same tribe then is it possible that Chiyou's Miao tribe was once part of Yandi's Qiangic tribe and later split from Qiangic tribe under the leadership of Chiyou?

Lijiang is not regarded as the Shangrila. You have to travel further....
