While being investigated by police for having sex with a 13-year-old student, Winson Tang Ting Wei, 25, went on to repeat the offence with another 15-year-old student a month later. He was jailed for 11/2 years on Friday.
District Judge Eddy Tham said that the sentence must reflect Tan's lack of remorse after committing the first offence. He had been introduced to the first victim by her elder brother on Oct 1 last year. They agreed to enter into a relationship and on Oct 13, she visited him at his flat in Pending Road in the Bukit Panjang area. She spent the night with him and they had sex in his bedroom.
When she returned home, her mother showed her the police report she had lodged as she feared her daughter was missing. They went to cancel the report and the teen told a police officer about having sex with Tan.
Tan, who helps out in his family's business, was called up by the cops for investigations. Before the investigations were completed, he had sex with a 15-year-old student in her flat in Bukit Panjang sometime in November last year. He had sex with again on two other occasions.
