武吉班让组屋发生命案，一名70来岁男子涉嫌在住家用剪刀活活刺死妻子。

这起事件相信发生在星期三（6月5日）午夜前后，地点是武吉班让柏提路（Petir Road）第137座组屋的一间单位。警方接到消息赶到现场时，发现一名妇女浑身是血倒卧在单位里，已经没有呼吸。

《联合早报》记者星期三早上到场时，警方已在事发单位外拉起重重封锁线，刑事侦查局人员不断进出单位搜集证据，其间还拿出量尺测量一把相信是凶器的剪刀，并拍照存证。多名邻居看到警力出现都感到十分讶异，得知附近单位发生命案更难以置信。


一名不愿具名的邻居受访时说，涉嫌刺死妻子的七旬男子是失智症患者，平时以电动轮椅代步在组屋周围走动。男子时常自言自语，精神不太正常，但在见到邻居时仍会主动打招呼。

邻居也说，嫌凶和死者在10多年前搬进这座组屋，两人育有孩子，但不知是否有跟父母同住，在外人眼中是一个相当和睦的家庭。“他平时独来独往的，平时没有听到吵架声，就连案件发生时也静悄悄。今早下楼买早餐时，才发现约三名警员上门调查，打听后才得知这起命案。”

据了解，警方彻夜搜证后，已安排黑车在星期三早上8时左右上门把遗体载走。
