Serious Bro Swee Keat Wants Parliament To Impeach WP Oppies For Being Dishonest Bastards!

To be absolutely fair to Heng... If what we really wanted was an expert orator or skilled debater to run the country, then all we need are a bunch of ceca ah Nehs who will talk until the deaf can hear again.

We know full well those who talk (a lot) can't do. Just like those who can't do, teach.

Do we really want the country to be run by a bunch of lawyers? Debaters? Radio DJs?

Do we want to cement the centrality of the talkers?

Certainly, this is one of the dumbest post I have seen in a long time here. Similar in vein to Stuffycunt's stupid posts.

A leader who is a skilled orator is as important as having an army. A leader who is fiery in speech, motivates, encourages, and imbues confidence in his countrymen. The ability to enunciate your thoughts and clarify your mind, and then dissemminate this out to the citizenry in a message that is reinforced by great oratory skills tells everyone that you have a brain, that you can think on the go, and that you have strength of conviction of your words.

Churchill was a great orator, and his skills were needed in the dark days of WW2 to encourage his countrymen. Hitler was a great orator too, and he could move an entire nation to war with Europe. Che Guevara and Fidel Castro could use speech to motivate a rag tag army to overthrow a govt. Kennedy was a great orator too and gave the world confidence in his defiance against the communists. Shit, even Old FArt was a pretty good orator at one time. Many other such examples abound. A leader skilled in oratory skills can motivate a country to great things, but the opposite can also happen. A leader that reads from a piece of paper with no expression on his face and no ability to think on the go when faced with questions is shit fuck useless and shows he has no brain and hence the country is circling the drain. this kind of fucks we don't need. Got it?

U give sinkies less credit then they deserve. A CECA ah neh does not have great oratory skills. He has great bullshitter skills. Anyone with half a brain can tell the difference after listening to him for 5 mins. A leader with great oratory skills hold you mesmerized for hours. And you leave walking on air, and preparing to take the world on.

I am quite sure he didn't sleep well that night! He is in shambles after the pathetic and inept performance in Parliament. The hero became the vanquished. What a humbling and nightmare experience for him.
Look at his performance. A leader he is not. Hope that this will be a good lesson for the pap ministers

please lah!!! ...dun take our pa-lee-men debate so seriously... it's nothing more than a circus n wayang.. :geek:

It obvious hsk is more of a bureaucrat than a leader and politician.

More suited for civil service than politcal office.

At least he is honest unlike CAQ said foreigners create jobs where he shd say foreigners steal jobs...

Woody wood pecker can at least PERFORM some of the time, most of time, but not all the time. Heng has no pecker, ha ha ha; fortunate or unfortunately, he didn't get a stroke when he has to 're-enter' the atmosphere...ha ha ha " PAP we have a problem'...Roger!, Roger!, go to plan B... ha ha ha

More like you and your kakis jerking off at the polls while fantasizing a change of regime is on the horizon.

No, we keep to a modest KPI, we fucked PAP out of AJ-GRC, and we intend to keep it that way.

PAP wanted to make use of that narrow window between court verdict and WP formally filing appeal to strike at WP politically.

Once appeal is filed, such motion would be deemed as subjudice.

Likely the appeal process will take longer of which election might be called before verdict is out. For as long as the appeal is still pending pap won't be able to capitalize on the initial court verdict during campaigning.

Thus this explain their eagerness to whack WP now.

If one is unable to communicate effectively on home ground with lapdog MPs rooting for you, how to convince leaders of other countries when negotiating with them? Having the whole team behind you, playing at a time of your convenience based on your schedule and still get ruffled by two or three oppos...where got hope when negotiating with Mahathir...especially now he says he is not handing over in 2020?

When ambition is suppressed in PAP... this is the result. No?

How well did Heng and the 4G leaders communicate in parliament? Heng provided a summary of how the saga unfolded. Then things got a bit complicated when Heng sought an adjournment on whether the motion was improper (whether discussing the matter was sub judice). But, at the initial exchanges, Heng appeared unsure when Lim and WP MP for Hougang Png Eng Huat asked for specific clarifications. The other three 4G leaders (Indranee Rajah, Edwin Tong, Desmond Lee), who were former lawyers, communicated more confidently in the exchanges. Edwin Tong came across as one of the stronger performers with a good soundbite, “This is wrong at so many levels. Even a child knows you don’t ask the fox to guard the chicken coop, or a wolf to watch the sheep.”
