Re: Old Fogey Fergie Confirms Retirement

This may mark the end of the golden era for Man Utd. Fall from grace is on the card and this is the time to see who are the TRUE Man Utd fans. The same happened to Liverpool fans before the millennium. LOL

No one is bigger than a club. Remember when Alan Hansen said these "you can't win anything with kids". Records are made to be broken.

Mourinho has been on very good terms with Abramovich. Mourinho wasn't sacked, he left by mutual consent.
It's just like a friendly divorce. Cannot be husband and wife never mind, each go his/her own way and remain as friends.

Too bad those prima donnas in the Real Madrid dressing room ganged up on him. Soon they will regret losing him.
Real Madrid will become another mid-table club, overtaken by clubs such as Athletico Madrid and Malaga.

The rift between Mou and Abram started when the latter made changes to the management structure to include a technical director, a model similar to greats like REAL and Barca. That riled the special one and his relationship with Abram grew frosty when he failed to deliver the sought after CL. You need luck to win CL and it wasn't to be for Mou and Chelsea. It came to breaking point when Chelsea relinquished the premier league title to MU. That was the season when the purse strings were tightened and Mou's spending spree came to an end.

His problems with REAL were similar and it began in his first season. I suspect the player unrest was instigated by none other than Jorge Valdano who was given the boot by the club. When you lose mgmt. support and players support, you're farked and Mou knows his game is over.

Peppy Guardiola and Moyes were the obvious and clear favorites for the Man U hot seat. Peps demands were difficult to meet and myes was a shoo in for the job. If you've made money on this, congrats!!

Pep had already agreed to take over Bayern Munich from next season onwards... you're not very up-to-date with such news, are you?

There weren't any other candidates to begin with, it was Moyes and no one else.

Mourinho's name only came up because those delusional Man U fans thought he wanted to take over Fergie. He never did.

Some of those twits even thought Klopp would take over at Old Trafford.

You can't say he's not interested if there's no opening at Chelsea, considering his time is up in RM.
Sir Bobby Charlton would not allow that to happen though.

Apparently, there's a rumour that Pardew has clauses in his contract that allows the club to terminate the contract and pay him one year's notice, if he doesn't meet certain performance clauses. That probably includes relegation. So that means the contract is effectively a one-year rolling contract. It's likely that Moyes will have similar clauses in his contract.

The rumor that Pep met Fergie in New York was a fact. That was months before the Munich deal. D. Gill and a third person(not sure who) were at the meeting. Having worked through the youth system at Barca and his outstanding achievements at the senior level, he was the obvious choice for clubs with a youth system in place.

Mourinho is a non starter and even if Utd had offered him a lot more than the highest paid manager, he wouldn't come. Put it simply, we haven't got the dough and neither do we have the best talent. Period.

Klopp to takeover OT seat, possible but unlikely coz a decision have to be taken quickly.

My predictions:
1) Newcastle should avoid relegation
2) Alan Pardew may get fired at the end of the season
3) Wigan to get relegated
4) Roberto Martinez to Everton
