All these buses shpuld be stopped permanently in future. So that Little India is not so accessible to these foreign workers. If they wanna come...take train or taxi or bus. Then from these inconvience...there will be lesser of them...
Let's not target only a certain race as that is not fair to them.
Since when has "fairness" been important in the Singapore context?
It's in the national pledge which has been largely ignored.:(
im not there today as im WORKING at dempsey today, but just got an sms from a neighbour about how peaceful and quiet it is today2pm Update
I just love Little India today. So nice and peaceful.
Even the Ah Nehs with their lorries are noticably missing from the big carpark at Race Course Road. LESS POLLUTION AS THESE BASTARDS LORRIES ALWAYS MAKE HELL LOT OF NOISE AND DO NOT SWITCH OFF THEIR ENGINES.
This is Singapore Little India in the late 80s early 90s...less crowds...nice.
There is no mention of "fairness" in the pledge. Justice and equality are different issues altogether.
Not possible as businesses there will suffer. Removing Southern Indian FW to another location will be problematic. If they want to cause trouble, they will no matter where they are. Let's not target only a certain race as that is not fair to them.
We know the root cause of the problem (points at the the government).
Disagree if a certain race creates problems they deserve the blame would you say the same thing if chinese rioted?
If you want to nitpick, but fairness=justice, no?
I don't blame the 170 chinese bus drivers for striking.
That is nitpicking.
