Are we having the dancing and singing event again?lol

If you often takeaway soupy food or food such as claypot rice at hawker centres, might be a good idea to invest in a food container of your own. All those 20 cents add up very quickly, 7 or 8 times would give you enough money for a typical one-way fare for public transport.
You all ready save on transport, reduce carbon foot print. What is another plastic container holding boiling hot soup? You earned it!

The group of 2 rule is actually copied from Malaysia MCO. Government is just short of saying lockdown or CB

Israel’s Real-life Evidence That Vaccine Can Prevent Severe COVID-19

After Israel’s national campaign vaccinated more than three-fourths of adults 70 years or older against SARS-CoV-2, the need for mechanical ventilation among patients with COVID-19 in that age group declined dramatically.

The country’s vaccination campaign began in December 2020 by prioritizing adults 60 years or older, health care workers, and those whose chronic medical conditions increased their risk of severe COVID-19. By February, 84% of adults 70 years or older had received 2 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. To determine whether the vaccinations prevented severe disease, researchers calculated the ratio of patients aged 70 years or older to those aged 50 years or younger with COVID-19 who required mechanical ventilation. The younger group was chosen as a comparator because its 2-dose vaccination coverage was only about 10% as of February.
From October to December 2020, before the vaccination campaign began, a daily median of 84 patients aged 70 years or older required mechanical ventilation compared with 15 patients aged 50 years or younger—a ratio of about 6 to 1. By February, that ratio fell by two-thirds to about 2 to 1. The authors noted that their analysis, along with preliminary evidence posted on a preprint server, provide real-world evidence that the vaccines effectively protect against severe disease.
“The findings from this study provide preliminary but important evidence of the effectiveness of vaccines in preventing severe cases of COVID-19 at the national level in Israel,” the authors wrote. “Receipt of COVID-19 vaccines by eligible persons can help limit spread of disease and potentially reduce the occurrence of severe disease.”

In the meantime the so called "deadly" Indian variant does not seem to be as lethal as the "experts" made it out to be.

Deaths seem to be dropping in India and the peak is nowhere near the death rates that Europe and South America have reached in recent months.

Time for the media to find a new country to play the role of poster boy for the Covid apocalypse.

WHO classifies triple-mutant Covid variant from India as global health risk

  • A WHO official said Monday it is reclassifying the highly contagious triple-mutant Covid variant spreading in India as a “variant of concern” at the global level.
  • Maria Van Kerkhove, the WHO’s technical lead for Covid-19, said the agency will provide more details in its situation report Tuesday.
A World Health Organization official said Monday it is reclassifying the highly contagious triple-mutant Covid variant spreading in India as a “variant of concern,” indicating that it’s become a global health threat.

Maria Van Kerkhove, the WHO’s technical lead for Covid-19, said the agency will provide more details in its weekly situation report on the pandemic Tuesday but added that the variant, known as B.1.617, has been found in preliminary studies to spread more easily than the original virus and there is some evidence it may able to evade some of the protections provided by vaccines. The shots, however, are still considered effective.

“And as such we are classifying this as a variant of concern at the global level,” she said during a press conference. “Even though there is increased transmissibility demonstrated by some preliminary studies, we need much more information about this virus variant in this lineage in all of the sub lineages, so we need more sequencing, targeted sequencing to be done.

he WHO said last week it was closely following at least 10 coronavirus variants across the world, including the B.1.617. The variant was previously labeled a “variant of interest” as more studies were needed to completely understand its significance, Van Kerkhove said.

“What it means for anybody at home is any of the SARS-CoV-2 viruses circulating can infect you and spread and everything in that sense is of concern,” she said Monday. “So, all of us at home, no matter where we live, no matter what virus is circulating, we need to make sure that we take all of the measures at hand to prevent ourselves from getting sick.”

A variant can be labeled as “of concern” if it has been shown to be more contagious, more deadly or more resistant to current va

The group issued a clarification Monday to their earlier remarks, saying that current data shows the existing Covid-19 vaccines “remain effective at preventing disease and death in people infected with this variant.”

The international organization has already designated three other variants with the classification: B.1.1.7, which was first detected in the U.K. and is the most prevalent variant currently circulating throughout the U.S.; B.1.351, first detected in South Africa, and the P.1 variant, first detected in Brazil.

You guys have a really fucked up government. I've never seen such a comedy of errors in all my life.

The whole idea of adopting high tech solutions like trace together tokens is so that life can carry on normally while contact tracing is a straightforward affair thanks to a high tech surveillence approach. The reality the system seems to be nothing more than window dressing while providing no useful information whatsoever. If it did there wouldn't be a need for the tightening of restrictions.

Sydney, which has a population similar to Singapore's has relied on contact tracing to keep the city open and ticking. It has restrictions in place but nothing like the stifling rules being imposed in sinkieland from this weekend onwards.

I genuinely think they don't have a clue and are making up rules as they go along. Very troubling indeed.
