KUALA LUMPUR - A bomoh has claimed trial at the Sessions Court here to a charge of raping an underage girl.
Known only as Parjono, 33, the man pleaded not guilty to raping the 14-year-old girl in Taman Koperasi Polis Fasa 1 in Sentul here at about 5.30am on Nov 7.
Parjono, an Indonesian citizen, was arrested on Nov 8 and charged with rape under Section 376 of the Penal Code.
The accused was unrepresented. The prosecution was represented by DPP Rozana Husin, who did not offer bail.
Sessions judge Mohamad Sekeri Mamat set mention date for Dec 17.
In the same court, a student claimed trial to two charges of robbing two women of their valuables.
Muhammad Adzwa Mohd Rani, 21, is accused of robbing student Zalikha Zainal Adnan, 19, of her handbag containing valuables worth up to RM2,000 while armed with a steel bar.
The offence occurred behind a petrol station in Bukit Jalil, Cheras at about 7pm on Sept 13.
He also pleaded not guilty to snatching a gold chain and lockets worth over RM6,000 belonging to housewife S. Janaki, 54, at about 12.30pm on Oct 24 in Taman Midah, Cheras here.
Bail was set at RM25,000 for both offences. The next mention date is set for Dec 7.
