Come and show support for four fellow Singaporeans!
The Online Citizen’s (TOC) event at Hong Lim Park this Saturday – “World Class Service or World Class Profits?” - will see four speakers giving their personal views on public transport.
The speakers are: Leong Sze Hian, known for his outspoken views; Goh Meng Seng, whose election speeches in 2006 impressed many; the youthful Bernard Chen, a very politically-aware student; and TOC Deputy Editor Gerald Giam, known for his rational and considered approach to issues. (See their profiles below.)
(Update: James Gomez, who is in Singapore to receive his Doctor of Philosophy (Political Science and International Relations) from Monash University on September 12, will be our guest speaker for the day.)
TOC thanks the five gentlemen for agreeing to share their views at Speaker’ Corner and for speaking up for fellow Singaporeans.
TOC will also be handing out copies of its transport proposal to members of the public. (Please come early as we have limited copies.)
Hong Lim Park is easily accessible by the MRT. Take the train to Clark Quay station, look for the sign which says “Hong Lim Park”, go up the escalator and you’re smack right in Speakers’ Corner!
The event itself should last about one and a half hours.
So, please bring your family and friends and join us for an evening of alternative views and dialogue with fellow Singaporeans. Let it not be said that we’re all just Internet-bound, arm-chair critics! So, do come and show your support.
See you at Hong Lim Park!
Saturday, 13 September, 5pm.
TOC has lost all shreds of credibility as a socio-political entity. Remember that Remy Choo’s cosy ties with a PAP MP? By obsfuscating and distorting the truth time and again, TOC has sought to deceive and mislead us all..
They are Experts in cock-sucking and ass-licking and this latest show-piece Public Transport Week is yet another betrayal of their conscience.
A thinly-veiled wayang for public feedback in order to further squeeze our pockets and defend the likes of SBS, SMRT and their benefactor, Temasek.
Support for TOC's PTW = Support for Rising Costs!!
