Amy miss the boat bros?
Amy miss the boat bros?
Gilbert Goh is against terrorism, so he urges Hamas to release the Israeli hostages.
He is against retaliation that harms the Palestinian civilians, so he urges Israel to stop.
He is promoting peace - not war.
So my conclusion is that Gilbert has done absolutely no wrong!
Personal expression is every citizens right. We have to push for such rights. It is not up to PAP to like it or not.PAP does not want the citizens to express themselves. Look what happened to hongkie. Freedom to riot until economy suffered.
Dun say like that, already tell us diam diam, no point open defiancePAP does not want the citizens to express themselves. Look what happened to hongkie. Freedom to riot until economy suffered.
The Govt doesn't want opposition of any kind from other political parties and the electorate. Remember that ex-PM Goh Chok Tong once declared that the ruling party doesn't need an Opposition to be a check and balance on them since they are fully capable of being their own checks on excessive power. Look at where SG is now? For a developed country, only 20% of the population live in private homes. The remaining 80% live in public housing which they don't even own since they are mere lessors of the units which belong to the HDB.Dun say like that, already tell us diam diam, no point open defiance

It is about standing one's right and the authority has to respect it. This should be the way of a civilized society. The ability to resolved it or not is secondary. Creating awareness and pushing for the citizen's right to expression is primary.Holding a cardboard is NOT going to resolve anything. There are better ways, such as using legal channels in Democratic Singapore to express one's view - thru ELECTED legislators, to consolidate & rationalize all views & then make use of Parliament to find a path forward, if it not already done by our Elected Leaders.
