my signature is the best sammy boy quote ever. period.
" i used to be jacky chan bodyguard " .
That's the one I was second proud of. National Stadium concert for Jackie Chan and Anita Mui. They demanded firearms carrying bodyguards but of course, Singapore wouldn't allow their own bodyguards to carry firearms in Singapore. Six of us were chosen. I was one of them.
Jacky chan can sing ? Somemore in concert ? Which year is that ?
男儿当自强. Cantonese by George Lam, Mandarin by Jackie Chan.
男儿当自强 song suits you
"there are two types of aliens".......guess who?
Be a man, be strong yourself, don't rely on others.
but in real life , comes to business ..sometimes you have to rely on connections .
A man is not a beast thinking of eating and fighting for survival only. Of course men have to have connection. That builds society and society builds into country.
which means " don't rely on others " is not logic after all

It's intricately interlinked in a circle. You shoudn't rely on others but it's others that build up the society around you.
These are the requirements for a Marine....
I was police, not marine. But even the swimming part, I surely qualify too. All males in my family have one kind or another of swimming medals or certificates. My father threw me into the Chinese Swimming Club adult pool from the springboard when I was age 3, to my mother's and the lifeguards' horror. With the tightened laws nowadays, I think he'd be charged for something like child abuse or even attempted murder. But seriously, I was very little then and he was confident of picking me up back alive no matter what. It was good training though. I've since swam rivers and seas. In case you don't know, it's legal to swim to Sentosa or Pulau Ubin and me and brothers and friends had done it before. Nothing to boast about. Some NS AWOLees could swim back to Singapore too.
