Are we becoming a 'cardboard nation' ?

I saw this elderly woman squatting down at a car park and tying up the cardboards she has collected so far, completely oblivious to the reversing car. What if she was knocked down ?

Such scenes are becoming very common in Singapore recently. Our elderly folks should be playing mah-jong or practising Tai Chi in the parks, why are they picking cardboards in the streets ??

Pap still need to be fed by charging these old folks monthly HDB rental, utilities, TC Conservancy fee, TV license, property tax, transport and all other basic necessity...etc. I don't think the poor folks can survive simply with picking cardboard but pap inc still need to be paid and fed fat.

But there are truly SINGLEs Ah Ma, Ah Peh in the street. They did not marry when they were young so where to find sons and daughters? Even when some of them were married, they may not have children.

why? PAP open the floodgate and let in all the FW
which bring down wages
and affect poor people of singapore
who have to survive they have to work until they drop
these are also people who voted pap in the past
so basically they deserve what they get

Aiyah, relax lah,,,for all you know those ah pek are the happiest (business)man in Singapore. No tax to pay, no monthly installment to think about, no SP Services bill to worry etc etc.
It could also be that collecting cardboard is their past time hobby. When I was young I used to collect coins and stamps. And maybe their hobby is to collect cardboard. who knows. If they dont do it someone else have to do it ?
