There will be many more NEW towns after Tengah. Sinkies don't need to worry; it's only 10 million (2 million each in the north, east, south, west and central.)

there are 10000 new residents every month now so i think the new town is already pretty late.

and a big portion of the 10000 consist of the very young, very old and irresponsible cyclists.

current pop is 5.7M and i am sure the mrt and lifts are going to suffer.

The truth is that the government wants to move the concentration of people away from the central region to the west region. This is part of the Master Plan to decentralize the population density to the west as they plan to create a new second CBD in Jurong Lake District.

If the critical mass is located in the central and east regions, you can imagine the amount of traffic / people movement every work day moving into the west ( second CBD ) to work there. The MRT and public transport system may not have the capacity to handle the load. The solution is to move people to live in the West and work in the West. Tengah is the plan. Tengah will be accessible by the JRL and EW lines which will enable people living there to move to their workplace in and around JLD.

That is true. If you look at the Master Plan, East and Central are already max out for public housing and township. Central South region is reserved for prime land development. The plan to develop Jurong Lake District as the next CDB of the West needs to consider the critical mass to support the plan. Bear in mind that the port in Tanjong Pagar and Keppel will be moved to Tuas in 10 years' time. If the critical mass for the JLD , Jurong Innovation Center and Tuas Port is to come from the Central and East regions, it will strain the current MRT networks, road networks and public bus systems. Critical mass must therefore come from the West to support the workload in the West.

Lim Chu Kang farmland and cemetery will not redeveloped so soon.

This gov't has already caused so many problems: hepatitis deaths in the hospitals, break downs of elevators, flash floods, a resurgence TB in Spore, increasing foot & mouth problems. zika, riots, crime by foreigners, fires, ....

I agree. Sinkies are so protected by the system that when there is a little disruption to their lifestyles, it can create a mayhem as they feel that they are incapacitated.

Some of the weaker ones unable to handle the change and stress of life even take their own lives.

Others find the government to blame.

No one thinks they can do something themselves.

Sinkies should be grateful that the PAP is always so forward looking. Sinkies themselves are lazy, self-centered, selfish and snobbish. Just look at the way they criticize the amount of FTs in Sinkie Land during the past. Now that the PAP has tightened the floodgate, is there any better for job opportunities for Sinkies? Unemployment rate is creeping ever higher nowadays. I would say good for the Sinkies. These people truly deserve it.

Luckily I'm no longer in the active workforce and so, all these issues don't matter to me. Every month, I'm still living on surplus from my passive incomes.

Mainland still can develop. Mandai still got forests that can be cut down. Maybe area D also can be used
