sad... bery the bery the sad state of affair...:eek::eek:

Side track abit. As I knew how to swim quite well, I find it hard for people who knew how to swim to drown themselves. I'm not talking about the deep sea with strong current. That sort of condition, even a seasoned swimmer might not survive but we are talking about a reservoir here :o

they probably tried swimming for a bery the bery the long time, fatigue killed them?

hey, wait a minute, think that you guys going to blame it on the casino again. i used to think so too that casino is bad and evil. but on the overall, it helps in promoting s'pore as a tourist attraction. seen many tourists going in to gamble and of course, more losers than winners.

look at it this way, if more money can be churned this way, it may not be a bad thing. although i lost some money to them myself, i never felt it's the end. what i did was went to apply for the exclusion and never went in again for the past year.

one thing i dislike about the casino here is that i find the dealers playing as if they are dealing with their own money. when you win a little, they give you that look as if that is their own money. and then sometimes, their facial expression gets aggressive. i prefer the kind of atmosphere where gamblers gather round the table and make noises. try to make some noises, you see the fella at the casino will keep on looking at you as if you are a troublemaker. apparently, they haven't seen the casinos in states and macau.:o

and the sure die way is that you think that you can win all their money.

The body of a Chinese male was found on Sunday morning, making it the eighth case since June last year. (Yahoo! photo)
Another dead body has been found at Bedok Reservoir, the eighth so far since June last year.

The decomposed body was found floating on the water and spotted by a passer-by doing his exercise on Sunday morning about 7am.

Police told Yahoo! Singapore they received a call at 6.52am requesting for assistance at Bedok Reservoir.

Upon arrival, the body of a man was found floating in the water. He was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.

A Singapore Civil Defence Force spokeswoman told Yahoo! Singapore that they also received a call at 6.57am. Upon arrival, they saw a Chinese male floating on the water and used ropes and lie buoys to get the body up.

Police are investigating the unnatural death.

A spate of six bodies were found in as many months at Bedok Reservoir during mid-June to the end of last year, prompting the Public Utilities Board to improve lighting in the area. Signs showing suicide hotlines* were also put up while police patrols were also stepped up.

In the most recent case earlier this year in January, a man's body was also found floating in the reservoir after being spotted wading into the water earlier.

But since then, the area has passed without incident until now.

Why would anyone wanna take his own life in Kuan Yew's utopia?

Classified as "unnatural death". Police patrols on lookout for "monkeys" canoodling & cavorting in the bushes, where they spot people doing the "unnatural death" acts!
This must be the 60% or FT's... they are usually unnaturally alive!

Not all sadness for the staff at MBS. They can take a breather now. At least, the trend is going back to Bedok as a hot spot.
