At my condo, it is the ang moh tenants who make the most noise during weekend nights, as if they owned the whole place and are the only people there. Talk about being inconsiderate. Leongsam probably never lived in a condo with ang mohs before.
They play music at the BBQ pit till the wee hours, jump into the pool screaming, and sing drunkenly till the wee hours.
There was once my baby was woken up by their drunken shouts and debauchery and I could not afford to leave the baby alone to confront the drunk ang mohs and probably be sent to the hospital with my foot up my ass.
I admit I did not have the balls to confront 10 drunk ang mohs on my own, so I approached the security guards for help.
Being typical Sinkies, they admitted to me that they had tried a few hours ago to get them to tone down, but they were ignored. Other neighbours had also complained to the security guards.
So seeing how nobody had the guts to do anything, myself included, I called the police.
The police took 1 hour to arrive and by the time I saw the flashing lights outside my windows, my baby had fallen asleep again and the ang mohs had decided to call it a night. So the police left after speaking to the security guards.
Sometimes I do contemplate moving to a mass market local type of condo. Yes there will be kiasu behavior and sinkified behavior all around but at least it won't be noisy at night cos Sinkies families don't party so late, all sleep early cos they have their own family program or send kids to enhanced classes the next morning (Saturday and Sunday morning).
