wow..beautiful Changi Village going back to it's roots...I guess, it got to do with the Pinoy pubs operating there...most probably these "macho" men fighting over a stinking Pinoy pussy and the knives were an extension of their small dicks..
Sometimes things are easier said than done. The most important thing is must be brave, start to trust your internal bravery and let your internal bravery take over. However again its easier said than done especially in a shit situation when a loaded gun is being pointed at your hear. Happened to me before inside a KTV in Manila. Seriously you really want to pee so badly. But I know there is no more time to negotiate and talk cock, must act immediately, must be merciless because the very act of pulling a pistol out is and act of no return.
wah found another one.good one here.learning yong chun for self defend against ah beng and gang fight!!! I going to learn yong chun and taiji soon!!!

Agree with you bro. Well said.
Had a classmate who lived in a gangster infested area and someone asked him if he was scared. He told us that he is mentally prepared for any encounter. We asked him to explain and he told us that in a confrontation that he will strike at the opponent's sternum and according to him it will collapse and pierce the heart. You should have seen us - we were all laughing and some of us were close to tears.
We seriously thought he was going to say something profound. Those were the days when we all had powerful imagination. Then we also had classmates who open top button and claimed that they play number.
It only takes a knife to kill a person. I learnt Krav Maga for awhile until I realised there's no point in pretending to be Bruce Lee and try to fight my way out of dangerous situations. You think LKY's bodyguards would fight it out with those who try to attack him? The priority for all bodyguards is to get their clients out of harm's way as fast as possible. 三十六计,走为上计
Well the joke actually was on you. you friend was correct. You don't seem to know about the death touch called Dim Mak. It actually exists and in the past only taught to trusted pugilist who also usually happened to be triads leaders(they became leaders because of their prowess in gang fights). have seen it happeneed on real life, a punch in the sternum and the 6 footer 120 kg gangster just collapsed and died. even medical doctors know it exist and it is called "commotio cordis". sometimes in baseball players an accidental hit by the baseball at the sternum at the sweet spot at the correct timing has been known to cause a few deaths amongst baseball players. in wing chun it was used inn the 1 inch punch to deliver it. the technique is very esoteric and only taught to certain people for fear of abuse. sometimes fact is stranger than fiction. I have seen things top pugolist can do then poeple dismissed as "nonsense" or fairy tales. on the other hand alot of cr@p poeple like to boasts and those that talk the loudest usually know the least. most triad leaders(bamboo pole holders) look very normal and keep a very low profile. unlike you HK movies stereotypes.
na bei.i hate all these pai kais trying to act bullies!!! damn it i should join the police force.but i hate government job.so i rather work outside.
Learning gongfu is the way to defend ourself against all these ah beng bullies and gang fight. No point wasting our life by gang fighting.Rather, why dont just join some religious activities and do some charity work instead so that our soul will raise up to another high level of dimension.Think about it!
Found this on youtube, quite interesting here but worth looking at.Not sure if it work in real situation but who knows!

I went for a few karate classes during schooldays. Discovered that I wasn't really interested and dropped out, but not before learning something. In karate (and all martial arts), there're three levels. One, exhibition. Two, practice. Three, match. All have rules and all need preparation. For example, you can see a karate expert break a few layers of planks or even bricks. But he can't do that without preparation, just like that at will anytime anywhere. In a sudden attack streetfight, there's no time for preparation. We call preparation, ready or onguard. In a martial art match, there're all kinds of rules. In a streetfight, the only rule is there's no rule.
Not that difficult. Just tell your opponent to stand still and carefully aim a blow at the sternum. Of course you have to practice this move. Its called "cockamamy cordis" The other way to is use a baseball bat and aim the ball a the sternum.
well you are the one with comprehension problems. and you know nuts about martial arts and how even punches by school kids can kill. nobody said anything about standing still. in tournament fights eg in karate do you vaguely understand why people wear protective chest plate? all it takes is only one punch or kick at that sweet spot and you are dead!!! in fact about 10 years ago locally, a singaporean kid died when he was punch at the sternum by another school kid flailing his arms( on the contrary those who know the death punch technique tells you it has nothing to do with force, only a light touch, hence the name dim mak, or called death touch. it only takes a light punch to kill in case you don't know-try goggling commotio cordis and wikepedia has explained it in scientific terms and also mention how even school kids can kill one another in contact sports. the old martial artists know about it more than 100 years ago and practise it to a fine art). sure gangsters like above nowadays are pussies and come with weapons and in numbers like above as they are cowards basically as they do not dare to confront one to one (I have threaten some of them one to one and mnay times so far no one has challenge me to a fight) and these cowards rely on threats and hot air. might as well hire Thai hit men who come in with guns. real life gangsters or triads leaders worth their salt would ask you for a one to one or underground no holds barred matches called bei-mo. losers get beaten up very badly and leave town forever. you only know how to mock and laugh like those useless cowards gangsters above who are nothing but behave like a pack of wild dogs. urban myth my foot. ask any doctor about commotio cordis and it is a scientific fact. worldwide thousands of cases have been reported .You obviously have comprehension problems. It's a school kid that is going to deliver a death blow while his assailant is standing perfectly still. We laughed because this kid is not trained in anything and I don't expect a practising pugilists do anything of that sort either.
Gangsters come armed with weapons. They don't stand still like a dumbfuck and tell people "hit me". All these are urban myth and quite readable by the uneducated. If the probability of killing a person with such death blows were high and these people are prepared to stand still is high, they would be teaching this in unarmed combats. There has never been a recorded case of such nature. Watching too many kungfu movies.
Heard about the one where you aim your finger between the eyebrows and the top nasal bone collapses and pierces the brain. Another death blow.

I'd think of it as not that different from stage or party magic. If you ask a magician, impromptu, to pull a few finger or table tricks, he might be able to do so without much preparation. But if you ask him to pull a grand stage illusion just like that, there's no way he can do it though you've seen him done that on stage before.
In my days as SC, I've escorted some rioting accuseds and victims too. There was once this rioting victim in hospital bed, SC has to handle prelim report before IO comes. Badly bashed and bedded. His occupation, karate instructor. His attackers, a bunch of unemployed hooligans. He wasn't a lone victim, he was with a group of five others (including him six). The attackers numbered five. No weapon were used.
