I don't understand this kind of posts. Seems like a lot of bullshit to me. In the case of the moron who bought the tires, does he not have a tire pressure gauge? I always keep one in my glove compartment. If the tires don't look right when i pick up the car, i could always check the pressure on the spot with my own gauge and then fuck the mechanic if its so off like he says. And if the car is missing the air filter, u can still drive it. for a long time. Like more then a 1000km. but u will risk screwing up your car.
As for the fucktard that left his car for 5 months at the mechanic shop. If they cannot fix my car in one week, i ask for the car back and try another mechanic.
Its always easy to pass comments especially snide ones. Lets just concede that you know best.
The mechanic was a trusted one and has been for years, the tyres did not seem deflated at the time and it was driven by his wife. One thing to note is that the air pump at a lot of petrol stations are not accurate and needs your own guage to test. The air filter for a diesel car was different but the car already drove with a huge loss of power, when she drove it back, i could tell the car was struggling and asked them to bring it straight back.
The car that was left there was because it was screwed up royally by rats during the year long hiatus that they weren't there, all wiring was essentially gone. When the car was towed there, (yes towed as couldn't start) they dismantled it totally and sent the parts and seats away the very same day. How do you get it back then without them fixing it. You need to tow it and then find all the parts, the person in charge (one Mr Ho) was always never around and refused to answer the call. Plus they could not go back frequently to follow up for the few months during the lock down.
