Kaki Bukit Division of Aljunied Constituency Committee celebrated Mid-Autumn on the evenings of 28 and 29 September 2012 at Block 503A, Bedok North Street 3 and Block 538, Bedok North Street 3 respectively.

MP Faisal welcomed residents to the celebration and ushered in the celebration with the cutting of a mega mooncake. The weather was kind on us and the residents indulged in the popcorns, candy floss, ice-creams, mooncakes and chinese tea! Children and the young at heart partook in station games such as Ball the Clown, Pinball, High Score Pingpong and Leap Frog while others kept themselves busy at the mooncake-making workshop. Many residents also challenged themselves to the lantern riddles on display.

On stage, there were exciting games on offer and prizes to be won. From musical chairs to a pomelo peeling competition, there was something for everyone. Apart from all these, we had a ‘diablo’ (‘chinese yoyo’) performance by a very talented student and the children brought home free sculpted balloons. And not forgetting the traditional lantern parade led by the ward’s MP, Mr. Muhamad Faisal.

Certainly, it was a memorable mid-autumn celebration at Kaki Bukit and a fulfilling experience for the organising committee and volunteers of Kaki Bukit division!
